'General Hospital' Spoilers Wednesday, August 5: Franco A Suspect, Julian Suspicious of Denise, Kiki Hot Mess - Morgan Angry

The murder of Silas Clay [Michael Easton] is the focus of today’s show – here are some ‘General Hospital’ spoilers to get you ready for the Wednesday, August 5th episode.

First, Franco [Roger Howarth] is the prime suspect since he had a bag on him with the murder weapon in it. PCPD Commissioner Jordan Ashford [Vinessa Antoine] rakes him over the coals in interrogation. Problem is, there won’t be any real physical evidence against Franco. Will his dad Scotty Baldwin [Kin Shriner] swoop in to save his son? Franco won’t be at the PCPD for too long.

Then Julian Jerome [William deVry] wants to know why Denise DeMuccio [Maura West] is so wound up about Silas’ death when she hears it on the news. Well she has good cause to be concerned. Franco has yet to get her the evidence to exonerate Ava and she’s worried Franco might give away her dirty secret as a “get out of jail free” card. Denise will make a confession to her dear brother.

Kiki Jerome [Hayley Erin] is a hot mess over the murder of her dad – understandably. Dante Falconeri [Dominic Zamprogna] tries to get a coherent story out of her about what went down and where she ran into Franco. Kiki is convinced that Franco went back to his old knife-wielding ways, but Denise will reassure her that he couldn’t have been the culprit – Denise knows who it was.

Morgan Corinthos [Bryan Craig] also knows who killed Silas (it was him) but may be very happy that Franco has been arrested for his crime since Franco had promised to tell Kiki about he and Denise shagging. Carly Corinthos [Laura Wright] has some words for her wayward son Morgan and tells him she went to talk to Denise about him. Morgan gets angry at his mom and tells her to stay out of it.

Carly won’t stay out and extracts a promise from Morgan that he’ll stop seeing Denise. Morgan will promise but, of course, he’s lying and will scuttle right back over to Denise ASAP to talk about Silas’ murder. Nina Clay [Michelle Stafford] will be nail biting once she hears the love of her life Franco has been arrested for a murder she knows he didn’t commit.

And Sonny Corinthos [Maurice Benard] is not having a good day either. He meets with the heads of the Five Families, the big mob honchos from all over New York, to find out who has been hitting his shipments. Sonny won’t like what he hears – is it a Jerome after his territory, Johnny Zacchara [Brandon Barash] back in town, or is it an all-new foe trying to take Sonny down?

On the subject of another (attempted) murder, Hayden Barnes [Rebecca Budig] waking up has left Sam Morgan [Kelly Monaco] deeply dissatisfied. Sam wants Jake Doe [Billy Miller] to get the answers she needs, but Hayden is playing dumb. Hayden does have some things to say, though, that give Patrick Drake [Jason Thompson] reason to think deeply about his relationship with Sam.

So will “who killed Silas” drag on for the rest of the summer or will this have a speedier conclusion? Expect more questions than answers on today’s episode – and be sure to check back with Soap Opera Spy on the daily for more ‘General Hospital’ spoilers.

I hope it is not long and drawn out. Ava needs to be in prison for killing Connie. Tape or no tape. Morgan looks like a sullen little boy, which he is, because he can’t keep his hands off Ava and Kiki needs to know about that.

Look, I know, and it’s probably as obvious as the nose on your face, that Morgan is the one who killed Silas. Look, he knew that Silas “wouldn’t be a problem” before the newscast revealed the murder, and of course, it wasn’t Nina, although she is a little crazy, and we all know that it wasn’t Franco, as he walked in after the killing, and Morgan is acting very strange before the news of Silas’ death was even made known.
