‘General Hospital’ News: Jon Lindstrom Reprising His GH Role – Dr. Kevin Collins Headed Back To Port Charles

'General Hospital' News: Jon Lindstrom Reprising His GH Role - Dr. Kevin Collins Headed Back To Port CharlesGood news “General Hospital” fans, Dr. Kevin Collins is coming back to Port Charles. That’s right, the voice of reason, Jon Lindstrom is reprising his role on the ABC soap. For quite some time, the show has built up that Morgan (Bryan Craig) has bipolar disorder. It looks like Sonny (Maurice Benard) has called in an expert- Dr. Collins. Will Morgan finally get the diagnosis he desperately needs?

The days before Sonny and Carly (Laura Wright) were supposed to marry a few weeks ago; Morgan got trashed, and arrived at Sonny’s house. He was upset that Kiki (Hayley Erin) found out that he had slept with her mother, Ava (Maura West) for months behind her back. At the time, Ava was pretending to be her aunt, Denise. Poor Kiki lost her father when Madeline (Donna Mills) killed him just a few months ago. Then, found out her mother and boyfriend were cheating on her behind her back. Kiki confronted Morgan about his relationship with her mom, and Morgan became unhinged. His family was terrified; he would hurt himself or worse.

Sonny’s health scare has delayed Morgan getting help for his mental illness. Right after Sonny was shot, Morgan hunted Julian (William deVry) down and threatened to kill him. He was positive that he was the one who ordered his men to kill his father. It turned out that Julian was completely innocent. Even so, Morgan continued to spiral out of control.

Last week, Morgan thought he was helping by making an (un) attractive offer to Ava. He told her if she let his father have custody of Avery, he’d come back to her. She seemed to want him to come back with her, but she told him she could NOT give up her daughter in the process. When Carly found out her emotionally fragile son, Morgan offered himself as a sacrifice for Avery, she was touched. As touching as the thought was his gesture spoke volumes about his mental stability.

Clearly, Morgan needs help that only the talented Dr. Collins can offer. He needs someone to intervene and help get him on bipolar medicine before he hurts himself, others or possibly both. Jon Lindstrom appears next week when Morgan consults him about his bipolar episodes.
