'All My Children' News: 'AMC' Alum David Canary Dead At 77‘All My Children’ star David Canary reportedly died of natural causes on November 16 2015.  Canary’s official obituary was printed by the Wilton Bulletin, courtesy of the actor’s family, on November 24th.  According to the Bulletin, Canary died of “natural causes” at The Greens at Cannondale in Wilton, Connecticut.

David Canary began acting right out of high-school, and started his career in Broadway.  He was then drafted into the army, after serving two years for the United States, he resumed his acting career.

Canary’s first television gig was on a night-time soap called “Peyton Place,” alongside Mia Farrow.  Canary is most well-known among soap opera fans for his portrayal of Adam Chandler on “All My Children” for over 20 years.  David began the role in 1983, and appeared on the daytime drama up until 2011.  He also doubled as Stuart Chandler on “AMC,” as well.

According to Canary’s obituary in the Wilton Bulletin, funeral services will be held for immediate family only.  A tribute for Canary will be set at a later date, so that his fans can pay their respects.  David’s family asks, “In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Go to alz.org “David Canary Memorial Fund.”  Soap Opera Spy would like to extend their condolences to David Canary’s family – he will be truly missed.

    My heart is broken! Palmer Cortlandt and Adam Chandler reunited in heaven today.
    I remember my dad walking by the TV when I was watching AMC one day and saying, “Why is the guy from Bonanza on this show?”
    Awww….one of the greats. Deserved every Daytime Emmy he ever won

    I’m 55 and have been a AMC fan forever! To David’s family, you have my most sincere condolences! He was an actor like no other! When they brought him in as Stuart, I thought to myself, how can he do this and keep his lines straight ? Rest in peace David,Adam & Stuart. You filled my life with comedy and love. On the wings of angels,fly free !
