The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Cane is the Victim - Juliet Hasn't Won Yet

Cane (Daniel Goddard) didn’t do anything illegal on ‘The Young and the Restless’, in regards to Juliet (Laur Allen). Actually, she’s the one who is harassing him by having filed a false legal claim. While matters appear grim at the moment, Juliet hasn’t won her lawsuit just yet.

At the time it seemed that Juliet was allowing Cane to drink too much. She certainly wasn’t matching his sake quotient. Juliet also appeared to be coherent when helping Cane to his hotel room during their ill-fated night in Tokyo, Japan.

Is it possible that Juliet was actually setting Cane up all along? If so, then her loose lips might eventually provide the evidence Mr. Ashby needs to fully defend himself. However, if Juliet didn’t drug his sake or allowed him to overdo it then something else may have played out.

What if Juliet did help Cane into his room with no ill intent. Then the two of them simply passed out, as Cane since said.

Let’s take Juliet at her initial word. She told Cane what happened after they arrived in Genoa City, which stunned him. But she did intent to keep their secret because she didn’t consider what happened to be that bad.

Juliet only became vindictive after Vickie fired her. Then Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) cajoling was effective because Juliet was out of work and broke.

Cane’s subsequent plea to drop her charge was temporarily agreed to because Juliet has a persuadable personality and as noted, she was vulnerable. That’s why Leslie’s (Angell Conwell) follow-up talk convinced her to continue pursuing so-called justice.

As viewers know, Juliet would never have been fired if Cane hadn’t sabotage the DARE commercial shoot. Ironically, his actions against Billy (Jason Thompson) created a chain reaction.

The point raised in the last paragraph looms as a key issue that could doom Cane. Regardless of whatever truth is revealed in the harassment proceeding or potential court trial, Cane was the guilty party in Los Angeles. So it’s possible that both Juliet and Cane could lose.
