‘General Hospital’ NEWS: Confirmed OLTL Hillary B Smith Headed To GH – Is This The Beginning Of Crossovers?

‘General Hospital’ (GH) Executive producer, Frank Valentin just dropped some big news on twitter. He has revealed that actress, Hillary B Smith, best known for her role as Nora Buchanan on the now-off the air soap, One Life To Live for many years is headed to Port Charles.

This no doubt is very exciting news for soap fans. Frank Valentin tweeted earlier tonight that General Hospital will be bringing a One Life to Live character to join the cast of General Hospital very soon. Frank also provided some clues and hints who this actress/actor would be by sharing a promo video on his timeline and this no doubt thrilled fans immensely.
This video shows Hillary B Smith who played the Llanview attorney Nora Hanen Buchanan on OLTL seen in the halls of what looks like General Hospital. The video shows a judge who calls her into her chambers quite abruptly. It is unknown if this is a hint of what’s to come when Nora arrives in Port Charles or not, it could be a clever way that Nora will make her entrance into Port Charles.
As the video ends, we see Hillary passing by Rebecca Budig and gives her a warm greeting. Perhaps GH is dropping hints along the way to prepare for a huge storyline to hit the screen. Since it has not been revealed yet exactly what character Hillary B Smith will portray, it is safe to say she will portray the role she originated on One Life to Live as Nora Buchanan especially since all the rights of Prospect Park have been restored so it is now safe and legal to make this transition happen.
With the current legal issues that Port Charles own Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is facing, it is also a possibility that Nora and Alexis will share many scenes together. No word definitely to confirm this but since we know they are both attorney’s—it is bound to happen at some point in the storyline that’s to come.
However Nora makes her entrance- we are beyond thrilled that she has finally made it! Welcome aboard Hillary B Smith! We are excited to have you!

A short visit would be ok. I liked Nora. But I hope they don’t take airtime away from Scotty, Alexis and Diane….THEY are GH’S lawyers.
I believe the writers and tptb do not realize that not all GH fans watched all the ABC soaps nor even liked them. I did watch AMC always and OLTL a good chunk of the time but they were all different stories with different dynamics because we cared about them together. I want GH cops, GH lawyers, GH doctors. Bring us Kristina, Molly and more of the younger GH characters ( age the kids to mid/ late teens), give them time to grow into the next generation of adults that we care about!
