‘The Young and The Restless’ Spoilers Friday January 29: Chelsea Learns Victor Has Dirt on Adam – Hilary Can’t Sign Divorce Papers – Nikki Confesses to Victor

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Friday, January 29, tease that Victor (Eric Braeden) will try to persuade Abby (Melissa Ordway) to stay at Newman Enterprises. In his office, Victor tells Abby that she’s a valuable player on his team. Abby wants proof and asks Victor to fill her in on Adam’s (Justin Hartley) secret project. Victor plays dumb and Abby gives up. She points out that they have different visions for Newman and she exits.

At the penthouse, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) rants about the trouble Adam could get in by working with Victor. She doesn’t want to lie for Adam either. Adam wants Chelsea to trust him. He thinks things are different with Victor this time.

In Billy’s (Jason Thompson) hospital room, Natalie (Mara McCaffray) claims she’s there to apologize. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) doesn’t look pleased. Natalie leaves and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) follows her out. Phyllis insists that Natalie needs to steer clear of Victoria. Natalie figures out that Victoria doesn’t know Billy is involved in the plan. Phyllis tells Natalie she’s going to keep this quiet.

Back with Billy and Victoria, he states that Victor can handle Natalie and she should go back to work. Phyllis comes back in and speaks with Billy alone. She says that she took care of it and Natalie won’t be a problem.

At Newman Enterprises, Adam admits that Chelsea found out about their scheme. Victor isn’t happy, but Adam feels it’ll be fine. Talk turns to Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva). Adam suggests that Victor needs to go away for a while. That way Luca will let his guard down.

Victor is on board with Adam’s idea. He tells Victoria to watch Natalie while he’s gone. When Victoria mentions that Abby can do it, Victor says she took a leave of absence. Victoria agrees to babysit. Victor urges Victoria to be both careful and fair.

At Jabot, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) chats with Dr. Neville (Michael E. Knight) about the recent good news. They’re glad the treatment is working. Neil (Kristoff St. John), Devon (Bryton James) and Jack (Peter Bergman) arrive. Neil pipes up about Devon’s investment.

Devon tells Neil he can stop acting like a concerned father. They bicker until Dr. Neville interrupts. He gives them updates on Gwen (Nadine Nicole) quitting. Dr. Neville also hints that Neil and Devon can work this out.

Meanwhile, Jack tries to get Ashley to return to Jabot. Ashley insists she needs to stick with Dr. Neville’s project. Abby shows up and tells Jack that she won’t be coming back to Jabot. Instead, she wants to work with Ashley.

Dr. Neville and Ashley decide that Abby can have Gwen’s job. Afterwards, Ashley tells Dr. Neville that she fears Abby will find out about her condition and the treatment. He changes the subject to their kiss. When Dr. Neville asks if they’re ever going to discuss it, Ashley says probably not.

Jack mopes at the hospital. He tells Phyllis that Ashley and Abby aren’t returning to Jabot. Phyllis reminds him that she’s still with him. They talk to Billy and he agrees to come back to the company.

Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal that Hilary (Mishael Morgan) will try to get Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) to drop her interest in Neil. At the athletic club, Hilary says Nikki should stay out of Neil’s bed. Nikki suggests that it’s none of Hilary’s business. Hilary brings up the fact that Nikki used to be a stripper. Nikki replies that Hilary is desperate and indicates that she’s enjoying her affair with Neil.

Nikki and Hilary are arguing when Neil walks in. Hilary rushes over to Neil and holds him. Devon arrives and grabs a drink at the bar. Once Neil joins him, Devon pulls out some divorce papers and asks Neil to give them to Hilary.

Neil presents the papers to Hilary at Top of the Tower. When Neil says they can be together if she signs them, Hilary suspects it’s a trick to push her toward Devon. Neil confesses that he can’t love her like he used to. Later, Hilary tells Devon she can’t sign the divorce papers. In Victor’s office, Nikki confesses that the affair was a ploy for his attention. They kiss and Victor says he’ll take Nikki on her second honeymoon now.

Back at the penthouse, Chelsea gets uppity about Adam’s plot with Victor. Adam admits that he has no choice; he’s being forced to work with his father. Chelsea gets curious and wonders what dirt Victor has on Adam. Y&R rumors hint that Adam will cover for now, but the truth about Christian is sure to come out eventually.
