'The Young and the Restless' Spoilers Monday, January 2: Devon Rushed to Surgery – Dylan Starts Risky Mission – Reed Begs to Live with Victoria“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Monday, January 2, tease that Dylan (Steve Burton) will get updates on his new assignment. At the police station, Christine (Laralee Bell) tells Dylan that he’ll be going undercover as Derek Young. A man named Kevin appears. He’ll be Dylan’s only contact on this mission.

Dylan is given an untraceable firearm and a recording device. He vows to get the job done, but Christine suggests he should proceed with caution. At home, Sharon (Sharon Case) asks Mariah (Camryn Grimes) about the gala. Mariah tries to stop Sharon from looking up info online.

Sharon looks anyway and discovers the teleprompter debacle. Mariah confesses that she forced Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) downfall. Sharon surprises Mariah by voicing her disapproval. She argues that it made her no better than Hilary.

Mariah feels guilty for doing this to Devon (Bryton James). She hopes he won’t view it as unforgivable. Mariah just wanted payback, but Sharon urges her to stop and think if she’s ever in a similar situation. Later, Dylan walks in and announces that he’s beginning his mission. Sharon panics and pleads with him to reconsider.

Dylan assures Sharon that this isn’t about his heartbreak. He needs to do his job. Sharon asks what she should tell Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind). Dylan replies that Faith should be told that he loves her. He adds that he loves Sharon, too. They share a hug and a kiss before Dylan heads out.

At the penthouse, Hilary wakes up and discovers that Devon didn’t come home. Neil (Kristoff St. John) arrives later to check on Devon. Hilary eventually admits that he never showed up or called. She unloads her frustration with Mariah, but Neil thinks she should take a look in the mirror. They bicker about all of Hilary’s lies.

Neil snaps that Hilary messed up big time and may have lost Devon because of it. Hilary has regrets, but she wants Neil to butt out. Meanwhile, Devon is unconscious after the car crash. The cops and paramedics come to assist him. Devon awakens briefly when they arrive. He’s rushed to the hospital and Stitch (Sean Carrigan) takes charge.

Back at the penthouse, Hilary gets a horrifying phone call. She hangs up and blurts out that Devon has been in an accident. Hilary shouts that they need to go. At the hospital, they get the news that Devon has internal bleeding and was taken to surgery. They also hear that speed was a factor in the crash.

Neil gripes that Devon shouldn’t have been in that car. Hilary and Neil almost argue again, but she ends up bursting into tears. Neil embraces her as they cope with this ordeal. “The Young and the Restless” fans will be anxious to see what the future holds.




At home, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) informs Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) that she called JT (Thad Luckinbill). She complains about Reed taking off without telling his father. Reed grumbles about having to move to Warsaw because of his dad’s job. He’d rather stay with Victoria, but she insists he has to be with his custodial parent.

Billy (Jason Thompson) comes in and listens to their fight. After Reed goes for a walk, Billy hints that it wouldn’t be a bad idea if Reed stuck around. Victoria is irked that Billy is even chiming in on this.

Talk turns to their warm moment last night. Victoria disagrees with Billy’s notion that they almost kissed. She says it wasn’t going to happen. Billy mentions their chemistry, but Victoria doesn’t want to revisit the past. When Reed returns, he’s had time to cool off. He gives Victoria an apology and explains why he’d like to remain in Genoa City.

Victoria finally decides to speak with JT again and see if they can work something out. How will Victoria handle having a teenager in her life? Y&R rumors hint that some great drama is coming up. Stay tuned to see what’s ahead on the CBS soap.
