‘General Hospital’ News – Kimberly McCullough Reveals Highs and Lows of 2015 – Pregnancy, Baby Loss, Return to GH and More

‘General Hospital’ (GH) fans love Robin Scorpio and her portrayer Kimberly McCullough. And Kimberly just posted a blog on her personal website titled “2015 Year End Wrap Up” that revealed many things about her year. We share some of those highlights here for all you GH fans.
#1 Suspected Tumor that was a cyst
Kimberly writes that she experienced numbness on the right side of her body and was living with a lot of pain. She had an MRI and found out she had a 7 ½ inch tumor in her brain! Kimberly named the it to be funny and – after a short scare – found out it was not cancer and said that it was actually a cyst and it “looks like a penis.” She shared a pic of the MRI scan and it really was peculiar looking.
#2 Baby news
Kimberly shared that she found out after the tumor scare that she was pregnant and then got the news that she was having a baby girl. But then sadly, she lost the baby. Kimberly wrote, “Losing a baby at 22 weeks is tragic” and added “My heart was so full and then it broke.” She said she’s still healing and took comfort in her rescue dog that she jokingly called her “emotional support dog.”
#3 Directing gig
Kimberly was thrilled early in 2015 when she got a call to direct an episode of Pretty Little Liars. She said, “Right there, my year was made” and that was just the beginning of her busy year. She said she watched every past episode of the hit ABC Family show to prepare for the gig and even penned some Pretty Little Liars scripts as part of her creative process.
#4 Dog’s life
In 2015, Kimberly wrote that she lost her beloved dog Melba who was 13 – that’s a very old senior citizen in dog years but then she decided to take on another rescue and found Jack – a handsome black Lab mix. She writes that Jack “knows how to charm the ladies” and added that three of her friends call her new doggie their boyfriend.
#5 GH hello and goodbye
Kimberly also writes about coming back to General Hospital for Jason Thompson’s farewell as Patrick Drake. She said of her reprisal of the role of Robin Scorpio to see Patrick and Emma Drake [Brooklyn Rae Silzer] out of Port Charles, “I’m really proud of the work we did not just this go round but over the last ten years.” Scrubs fans are still seeing this unfold and it’s great work.
Final thoughts…
Kimberly also referred to Brooklyn as “the most precious soul on the planet” and Jason as a “great friend.” GH spoilers also reveal that both Robin and Emma may return for visits, although Patrick is off the character canvas unless they recast.
She closed her year in review saying “I am grateful for all of it. Tired. But grateful.” What do you think GH fans? Sounds like Kimberly McCullough had a big year – with major ups and downs and both joys and sadness.

I am so thankful that you came back to finish this storyline with Jason and Patrick. The acting was fantastic. I am so sorry to read of the loss of your baby. I do understand that as well and am So sorry.

I’m so sorry to hear about your baby ,we lost our first great granddaughter when she was born sleeping at 5 months. I told my granddaughter she was the strongest women I have ever known. I am So Sorry to read about the loss of Her Baby. Sow So very Sad. My Heart goes out to Her and Her Fiance. I hope in time, that She gets another blessing, and She delivers a Healthy Baby. So sorry for the loss of Her Senior Dog too. I am glad that She was able to open Her Heart to bringing another Dog into Her Family, again. Anyway, I am glad that the Drake Family get a Happy Send-off. I hope Robin and Emma can make visits to Port Charles. Anna will miss not having them around.

Dear Editors: given the heartbreak of losing a child, and given that many of these actors actually read the things written about them, couldn’t you have found a different picture to accompany the article? Is it necessary for her to relive her pain when she pulls up this article? Poor taste.

I love Robin on GH one of my favorite characters! I too suffered two losses during pregnancy after 15 weeks gestation. It is something you never get over and it changes you completely. Hugs to her and may your precious little girl rest in peace with all the little angels above.

I remember the day you were brought on GH, I fell in live with your character then and still to this day I have not once regretted watching you grow from this little 6yr. Old to a great woman today. I have admired your acting from day 1 . I won’t lie I will miss you, knowing that if you do make guest appearances it will be faryourself all these years. between.

I also have watched Robin since the first day she was on the show. A beautiful, smart little girl, and still a beautiful and smart lady. I wished they hadn’t written you out so much, but I guess that you had other things going on, so that’s great. I will miss you on the show, but I think it was a great way to send you all off, together. That’s the way it should of been. I do hope you will come back on sometimes.

I am so sorry about your loss of your daughter. I have a 3 month old that passed from SIDS and a nephew that passed on second day of kindergarten all because his stepdad didn’t want to wait on a train he made sure his daughter was safe at home and then found drugs in the stepdads system I don’t know if you are religious person all 3 your daughter my child and nephew are perfect little angels with God and I am praying for the best for you God bless you
