‘The Young and the Restless’ POLL: Which Y&R Character Do You Love To Hate? VOTE!

On every soap, there’s always a few characters that fans generally do not care for. They may want them to take a hike and never return. “Young and the Restless” is not any different. There are always characters that add nothing to the show and are only around to help tell the story. Sometimes their ‘useless’ existence really does help storylines. We’ve compiled a list of the most popular characters that “Young and the Restless” fans would like to see go far, far away.

Summer

Summer Newman (Hunter King) has to be the most useless character on the show. The only time her character was half way entertaining was during the cabin murders. In general, she whines and cries about everything that happens to her. She often gets into arguments with Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) daughter, Mariah (Camryn Grimes). She constantly bashes Sharon and forgets she is Phyllis Summer’s (Gina Tognoni) daughter.

Stitch

Stitch (Sean Carrigan) is another character that most fans think has run his course on the show. His scenes are often forced with Abby (Melissa Ordway) and her mother, Ashley (Eileen Davidson). He has no spark with Abby- and really should be paired with Ashley. His contract is up soon, and many fans have speculated it may not be renewed.

Noah

Noah Newman (Robert Adamson) never has a central storyline. Fans seem to genuinely like the actor, but Noah (the character) lacks any spark or real existence in Genoa City. For a while, he added depth to the show when Courtney (Kelli Goss) died, but after the storyline wrapped up- Noah is back to boring the viewers once again.

Abby

Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) is one of those characters that you love to dislike. She is snobby, rude, and loves to gossip behind everyone’s back. Recently, she was given a storyline with her business venture and pivoting her against her sister, Victoria (Amelia Heinle). In general, fans chalk Abby up as one of the useless characters on “Young and the Restless.”
