‘General Hospital’ Poll: Liz’s Redemption: If Jason Morgan Forgives Liz, Will Port Charles Residents And ‘GH’ Fans Do The Same?

‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicate that Jason Morgan [Billy Miller] will soon reconcile with Liz Webber [Rebecca Herbst] and this can change everything for the tarnished GH nurse. As of now, Liz is the most-hated person in Port Charles.
With the exception of a few people who have no skin in the game – and those that would have preferred Jason’s secret never came out – like Franco [Roger Howarth] – most of the town thinks Liz was horrible for lying about his identity.
The Quartermaines are all annoyed with her – as is Sam Morgan [Kelly Monaco] along with the Corinthos clan. Those groups are also tethered to the Spencers and Falconeris, so the hit to Liz’s personal and professional reputation was massive.

We’ve questioned before whether Liz was redeemable at all after the months of lies about Jason’s identity. Most GH fans think Liz is in the doghouse for good. But that’s not the way it will likely play out. First, there are no innocents in Port Charles.
Name a character in Port Charles and you can attach a laundry list of dirty dealings to their name. There are only one – maybe two – people in town that haven’t lied, cheated, stolen (or all of the above). Second, the primary person harmed in all this was Jason.
If Jason can forgive Liz, his loved ones will likely let it go and will drop their resentment towards Liz – with the exception of Sam and Carly Corinthos [Laura Wright]. Most of the others will just be glad that Jason came back and will not want to alienate Jason by criticizing Liz.
The bottom line is, if Liz can be redeemed, it will be because of Jason’s forgiveness. There’s likely nothing that Liz could do on her own to redeem herself and it’s not likely that the rest of Port Charles would spontaneously forgive her.
Even if the memory of Liz’s lies dimmed over time, Carly would never let anyone forget what Liz has done. Jason is Liz’s only hope for public redemption or salvation. And this process will begin soon when Jason relents and gets back together with Liz.

But how long will he stay with Liz once Sam schemes to break them up? And if Sam succeeds in ending Liz and Jason again, will the redemption Liz enjoyed while they were re-coupled fade away? Is Liz only safe from the hatred of Port Charles while she’s with Jason?

I so agree with you. Rebecca erbst is a great actress. She is so good that people hate her !!! I don’t like that she was written to do this. I hope they redeem her. She should stay defiant. After all, after “Jake” took old Sammy hostage, Liz was really the only one who helped him. I hope htey redeem her quickly and bring a Lucky back or put her with Nicolas I’d love for her to be a part of a power couple.
I for one do not hate Liz because she is “so good” I hate Liz because she became so fake. It hasn’t always been this way. I liked her up until she showed off her stamina and climbed the stairs in a black out and offered herself to Jason and then pretended Lucky was the father. I hate how she hid behind furniture in her house because she was terrified of Jason when he went in looking for Carly or proof that Ric had something to do with Carly’s disappearance. I hate how she would be snippy and bitchy to other women until a man entered a room and then all of a sudden she was this whimpering victim who needed protection from the other woman. I hate how she loved Lucky but gave that ass to Nicholas every chance she got. I hate how she didn’t want Lucky until Siobhan had him. I hate how she didn’t want Nicholas until Brit had him. I hate how she played crazy in an attempt to get Lucky back. Most of all, I hate how her self righteous and judgmental ass is always looking down on someone else.
BTW, everyone who wants Jason and Sam back together does not necessarily want him to be a hitman again. I for one can do without the enforcer role.

She is (Herbst_ deserves it. She is golden.
If the writers put Jason and lying Liz back. together I’m done. DONE. I’ll never watch again. Never.

If the two get back together, I will miss Carly, Nina and Maxie because GH will be deleted from my DVR. I know it sounds ridiculous because over the years I have said other viewers were ridiculous for saying they will stop watching. I would finally be at the point of walking away after habitually watching for 30+ years.
I just could not stomach watching Liz and Jason together. Redeem her. Give her a great love of her own, but keep her away from Sam’s husband. Let Jason and Sam find their way together again.
Again, if I even think I see Liz and Jason getting close to getting back together, I am taking a very long GH hiatus.
While I’m commenting….Let me add that I am not happy with Olivia blurring boundaries with Julexis, and that trick Valerie has to go. Some people have said she’s not a homewrecker and that she is misunderstood. She came to town with her sights on her cousins husband. Even if you take the cousin part out of the equation, he was still someone’s husband and it was obvious that she was setting her sights on him. She needs to be put down like the dog that she is.
agreed. She was way over Jason. They did this in such an odd way, all of a sudden she has to have him ? I didn’t get that at all. Herbst really deserves a GOOD love story with someone solid. I read that the old Lucky may come back (not Jackson, the other really good looking guy) anyway, she deserves a good story.
I completely agree about Valerie, now I hope they don’t put her with Johnny. He is another actor who can play off of anyone. If they don’t bring Nathan back, Maxie will start roaming!
The only thing I don’t agree with is, i will not abandon GH. I am not a huge fan of Kelly Monaco and for awhile I would say, if they keep her on here, I’m out! Well, I just sucked it up and she grew on me, a leeettttle bit. I am not yet vested in Miller, so I am okay with those 2 being together. Right now, i am reallly liking Nina and Franco, they are charming and funny. Kiki has gotten better….The writers just need to get back to what works. Stop exploring and rewriting a non existant history. Liz loved /s Jason, but, she was okay about Sam. THis was a plot twist that was just twisted and Herbst shouldn’t have to pay for that.
If the plan is to have Jason return to Liz after the elaborate sequence of events that exposed her, I will no longer be viewing General Hospital. The plot has become so convoluted and unrealistic. You know what your viewing public wants to see.
Sounds like he is going to go back to her. I will also stop watching if that happens. Why would the writers & producers be willing to lose so many viewers? Well, when the show is cancelled to low ratings maybe they will get it. When they are filing for unemployment they should realize that their viewers were important & they should have listened.
The network should just pull the plug on GH…..CANCELLED in big bold letters if the put Jason back with Liz..watching the together is watching paint dry

I will never stop watching GH no matter what happens on the show! I hope him and Liz get back together, and he doesn’t go back to being a mob enforcer! I hope they don’t alienate the quartermaines from his life like they did before! This is the writers chance to give him somewhat of a new start.
I’m so try of this Jason and Liz crap she lied to him for months about his life n keep him away from his family n wife …..so why should Liz win it’s not fair to Sam or whoever Liz lied to….if Jason and Liz get back together I’m done with this show
He was boring as a Quartermaine… That’s why they changed the character. And his popularity then soared! Put him back to the way he was & he is no different from anyone else in that family. His uniqueness made him as popular as he is now! Take that away & he becomes just one more person in the Quartermaine family! Essentially killing his popularity all over again!

The real Jason was never in love with Liz. And he just thinks he is now! Sam is his soulmate & he belongs with her. And Jadon IS boring as a Q!
What I’m learning from my YouTube research (HA HA!) is that Jason and Liz really seemed in love but his “career” constantly ruined their chances together. NOT a safe life for children that’s for sure. I’m actually understanding Liz’s motives now and why she so desperately clung to a life with NuJason, one that was safe. (AND she loved him before she even knew he was Jason) She could see Sam and Danny were in a happy, SAFE family with Patrick and Emma now…I can see how she justified what she did as being the best thing for everyone. Let’s remember people….he wasn’t a car salesman before! Right or wrong, I’m understanding why she lied. He has no memory of his former life but he could create a new life with her. Selfish? Sure…but I get it.
The real Jason has never been in love with Liz. His career didn’t cause that, he just never really felt that way about her. And although he cares about her & his child, he wanted to continue to work for Sonny. If he had wanted to, he could have walked away from his mob career years ago. (And has) but he kept going back because he wants to be who he is. And hopefully he will realize that once he gets his memories back. IF the writers ever allow him to! Sam is and always was his soulmate! Liz’s soulmate is Lucky. Or maybe even Nicolas – but not Jason! So YouTube is wrong!
I am so happy that Jason and Liz are going to be together. If he can forgive her, he must love her. They are great together
You have to wonder if art isn’t imitating art! Is ABC doing the same thing their character, Julian, is doing with Crimson? Going for the financial write-off by deliberately tanking the program? Alienating their fans with absurd, unlikeable and unrelateable story lines? And, could ABC News is in co-hoot’s with GH with their constant pre-empting of GH for so called “breaking news” – like ABC News can’t wait another few minutes and air their breaking news during their regular news programs that take up the lions share of daytime TV… basically, ABC wants to be a total news channel! With news or news related shows from 2:30am – 9am, noon – 1pm, 4pm – 7pm and 11pm – midnight. I guess it’s cheaper to report the news than it is to show good programs… less actor’s involved, right?! What ever happened to “love in the afternoon?” Here’s an idea… put One Life to Live, All My Children, Ryan’s Hope, Port Charles, etc… on Netflix or Hulu!
I honestly had to look to see if this was an old post from maybe, say….April 1~for a April Fools Day, I can NOT believe this bs…..If this happens all I can say is buh bye GH……
Oh and Maybe, just maybe GH needs to get some writers that know how to WRITE a Story that would be True to GH and it’s Fans….I just can’t believe I wasted the past year of my life (that I can’t get back) on this crap, UGH I’d feel so much better if this Show just get’s CANCELLED already!!!!

Liz is all about her chance and her kid with Jason, but forgets he was married before and still is to Sam. She never gave Jason a chance to know who he was and to get to know Danny for the last 7 months. Sorry little Jake just came back so her lies were her being selfish all about what she wants and forget all the family or friends of his that have been missing him. I also think there is a story behind the return of little Jake and Liz has not been paying attention to him. I feel like little Jake isn’t really Jason’s son but Lucky’s for the fact Helena always in the past messed with the Spencer clan so its not adding up. I feel that fans of JaSam would love to find out he isn’t so I hope GH gets the picture we would like ties of anything between Liz and Jason gone. Bring back the love of Liz’s life Lucky because Jason is just an obsession of hers. She wants him only because someone else has him but doesn’t support who he is always wanting to change him. JaSam will bring back the action to GH which is boring right now.
Bye General Hospital you are writing a story that would never happen in real life. The man is married even if he wasn’t married your character let his little boy suffer, his wife suffer grief, his family, and even his friends. It makes better since for him to be alone for a while sorting out and try to get back the parts of his life Helena took from him along with the people who grieved over him for 4 years. Not to mention another 7 months over a woman who thinks its always her chance or her turn. This is a crap storyline, I am okay if he is there for little Jake, but that’s all. Jason can be who he wants without Liz. Sam went through mourning Jason’s death and their sons cancer alone she doesn’t deserve not to have the love of her life back especially when the woman kept her husbands identity from her over selfishness. You want redemption give Liz back to Lucky then and only then will I come back to GH.
I think she is a boring actress. Never really had a good story line. All she did was have a mans kid cheat on him and cheat on the next one. There is no really story here. All the relationships had no fire.. Old Jason/ Lucky/ Nicholas/ Rick / now new Jason. Same all the time. If she ends up pregnant again with New Jason that would be a crime. Most of the time I fast forward her scenes. Now she is friendly with Franko . Please….
I have put up with enough from GH. During Michael Easton was bad enough. But if Jason goes back to lying Lizard I will have no problem never watching GH again. I kinda think that TPTB at GH want the show to get cancelled!
I believe Liz and Jason need a chance to be together. Every body keeps ripping Liason a part.They are a couple that was so much in love with each other. G.H.is a great soap. I have watched it for years!!!
He probably will forgive her but I won’t but I do think she’s a good actress, has nothing to do with her character. I would say I wanted her back with Lucky but I’ve heard that Michael Mulhoney has been cast in the role & I’m so not for that, I can’t believe GH hired that pervert! I would love for Lucky to come back but someone else in the role not him. I always thought that Liz belonged with Lucky but they should have recast him years ago & let him come home to her & their boys instead of wasting time with this storyline with Jason. I did like her getting back their son though.
