‘General Hospital’ (GH) Rumor: Is Ric Lansing Out as Corinthos Mob Lawyer and Replaced by Diane Miller?

This ‘General Hospital’ spoiler is so exciting because it pertains to the return of a favorite Port Charles character – Diane Miller [Carolyn Hennesy]. Yep, that’s right, the legal powerhouse that rattled a tiny tumor in a jar in court and got Franco’s [Roger Howarth] murder charges dismissed is back baby! Diane will be on scene at GH by the end of October. We cannot wait to see what she’s going to get up to, but we’ve got some ideas we’ll share today.

First, check out Hennesy’s September 17th tweet “Diane and Spinelli together again. You asked for it… you’re gonna get it.” We know that Damien Spinelli [Bradford Anderson] is due back in Port Chuck starting Thursday, October 15th and it seems like Diane will be following soon after. Here’s what we think is going on. Remember Diane was the top legal shark for Sonny Corinthos [Maurice Benard] before she left town and Sonny added his creepy brother Ric Lansing [Rick Hearst] to the roster as his lawyer?
But Ric just let baby Avery slip through his fingers and now Sonny’s youngest child is in the hands of Ava Jerome [Maura West]. Looks like the Corinthos clan may have lost faith in Ric’s legal eagle abilities and are bringing in big gun Diane to try and get the baby back into her dad’s hands. What this could mean is that Ric will be fired from his second job within a month. Paul Hornsby [Richard Burgi] took Ric’s DA job and now Diane may take the consigliore job at the Corinthos syndicate.
Morgan Corinthos [Bryan Craig] and Michael Quartermaine [Chad Duell] certainly like Diane better than Ric – and that goes double for Carly Corinthos [Laura Wright]. No one will be sad to see the back of Ric as they kick him to the curb. We just have to hope that Diane is sticking around for a while and this isn’t just a short-term visit. Also, we’ve got our fingers crossed that we’ll get to see Diane and Max Giambetti [Derk Cheetwood] in a romantic clutch.

With Jackal Spinelli back in town, Jake Doe [Billy Miller] about to be revealed as Jason, and Diane in the mix, this is an exciting time to be a General Hospital fan. Diane may be just the shot in the arm that Sonny needs to get motivated for his recovery and restore his confidence that he’ll have his daughter back in his arms soon. And this is someone who might stand up to new DA Paul and see through the games he’s playing with everyone in Port Charles. Can’t wait to see Diane square off with Hornsby!

I don’t think that Diane will work for Sonny again. But I think she might take a case for Jason when he finds out who he is & Liz’s lies & sue for full custody of Jake. Besides there was nothing Ric could have done to keep Ava from getting temporary custody of Avs since Sonny is in the hospital & Carly is not her legal guardian. Also Sonny is not Ric’s only client he also works at Diane’s law firm. Plus from what I understand it’s a short term return since she is on another show. Or she she might be back at the request of Alexis where Julian’s son Leo is concered.
