'Days of Our Lives' News: Days Hiring Two Teens in Casting Call

Get ready for a new young girl to start adding to the drama in the fictitious city of Salem, Illinois. According to Soap Opera Digest, the immensely popular daytime soap opera, Days of our Lives is seeking to cast a 16 or 17-year-old brunette girl to play the role of a new character, Danielle.

The description of Danielle read, “She, at times, can seem selfish and cruel and controlling when she is in certain social situations in which she feels backed into a corner. At her core though, she is a very good person.”

While Danielle is set to be a warm character, her description shows another side of her. The casting notice goes on to reveal that Danielle is a loving person, but has experienced a great loss and pain in her past.

If you thought Danielle was the only new young adult entering into DOOL, you would be wrong. In addition to the new role of Danielle, the show is looking for a young man, also 16 to 17 years of age, to be contracted to play a character by the name of Mason. They describe Mason as a stunning and attractive teenager, who just like Danielle, has suffered a tremendous amount of loss.

We aren’t psychics, but if we had to make a guess, we believe these two will cross paths and make for a very entertaining relationship in some way shape or form.

We recently posted some spoilers for Days of our Lives, and things are getting juicy. Melanie (Molly Burnett) and Brady (Eric Martsolf) will find out that Kristen (Eileen Davidson) has been lying about having nothing to do with Theresa’s (Jen Lilley) embryo theft. Since Melanie found the baby, it looks like Kristen is going to be cornered and forced to confess.

In addition to the drama going on, we are definitely excited to see how Danielle and Mason can stir things up. Be sure to tune in to Days of our Lives to see how things heat up. What do you think of adding two new teenagers to the cast? Let us know in the comments below.

Why not just recast established roles when actors choose to leave?!! Am hoping yiou will bring back E.J. and Sammie – things haven’t been the same without those characters. Can’t believe how much murder, violence and death are now a part of the program – will probably stop watching.
