Y&R Zuleyka Silver Gives Fans A Sneak Peek Into Her Soapy Life

The Young and the Restless’ Zuleyka Silver plays the seductive Audra Charles on the CBS daytime drama, and while fans may think that her life is all glitz and glam, the actress recently offered a sneak peek regarding a “day in her life”.

Zuleyka uploaded a video on Instagram, which was titled, “What It’s Actually Like Filming A Soap Opera”, with a subtitle that read, “My Day On The Set Of The Young And The Restless”.

The video starts with Zuleyka in make-up, as the actress introduces “Jerry” in the video, the make-up person who puts “Audra’s face on” every day on set. Next, the actress gets her hair styled by the talented “Michelle”, as Zuleyka states, “It takes a village” to bring Audra alive.

The actress then heads to the wardrobe to “get dressed”. This is when Zuleyka shows off a bruise she got during jujitsu. The make-up people come back and work hard to cover it up, because while the actress may be okay with bruised legs … Audra is not!

Next, Zuleyka heads to Courtney Hope’s (Sally Spectra) dressing room to run lines. Once they are done, she and Courtney do some “blocking” with the production crew and continue to walk around the set.

Zuleyka states that “everyone here is used to my weirdness”, as the two ladies run into Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott).

The two women do a dance move, as Jason gets his groove on as well, in the background. Then Courtney and Zuleyka film some scenes, in one take!

The actress finishes off the video by saying, “And that’s it, y’all” as she throws her dialogue notes into the air!

Zuleyka’s caption on IG video read, “A lot of people ask what a typical day on a soap set looks like.” She went on to say, “Here’s a little behind-the-scenes from my day filming The Young and the Restless.”

It went on to note, “Hair & makeup, wardrobe, blocking, rehearsals, camera… and somehow we still film an entire episode in a single day (sometimes two!). It’s fast-paced, a little chaotic — but we make it work.”

Fans chimed in the comment section about the fun video, and Courtney Hope also wrote, “I adore you,” as Zuleyka replied, “as do I my Leo sister.”
