The Young and the Restless spoilers are in for the week of January 5, 2026! Fans can expect to see Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) fate. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) attacks Matt Clark (Roger Howarth).
Plus, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) is pushed toward his dark side. Keep reading, and let’s talk about what is coming up in the CBS soap opera.
Victor Newman Attacks
Let’s start off with Victor. Fans know that the patriarch is eager to get his hands on Matt, and we mean that literally! The Newman family’s security team corners Matt and Detective Annie Stewart (Catherine Kresge).
Meanwhile, Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) runs into Noah Newman’s (Lucas Adams) arms! Then, Matt is taken to a room, where Victor gets to choke the man!
Nick Newman’s Fate
However, things will take a wild turn. Expect Nick to get into the driver’s seat. That is to be taken literally. Nick is driving with a bound Matt in the backseat. Then, Matt somehow gets his hands around Nick’s neck while he’s driving!
It sounds like Nick could crash. That would explain Victor and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) getting concerning news. It would also explain why Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) needs to counsel Noah Newman (Lucas Adams).
Phyllis Summers’ Bad Influence
The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Cane tried to prove that he had changed for the better. However, every time Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) turned around, Cane was with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford!)
Now that Lily has once again rejected Cane, Phyllis comes back into the man’s orbit. This time, the redhead will try to get Cane to go to his dark side.
Daniel Romalotti, Jr. Grilled
Later in the week, Phyllis questions Daniel Romalotti, Jr. (Michael Grazaidei). This is most likely about Daniel’s romance with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks). Daniel can make his own decisions, but Phyllis might be worried that Tessa is just going to break his heart.
What Else to Expect
Fans can also expect Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) to scheme with Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc). Meanwhile, Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) gets fed up with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) defending Nikki.
There is also Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). The young man tells his parents about Matt. That leads to Jack offering Victor a deal. Oh, this sounds very dangerous!
Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) agree to start over. What does that mean for Claire Grace Newman (Hayley Erin)?
