Y&R Spoilers: Victor Manipulates Matt As Kyle Makes A Dangerous Patty Play

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) in his pocket and he’s using him to target Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).

So, it’s fair to wonder if Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will be able to gain Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) as a similar weapon.

Victor’s ability to control Matt exists because of all that happened in the past. More recently, Matt’s amnesia and emotionally jarring recovery allowed the Moustache to capitalize on a specific vulnerability.

A foreseeable comparison could have Kyle explore whether Patty feels nearly as much guilt as Matt does for his moral transgressions. If she does or will, then Kyle could exploit her attempt at redemption.

Matt Clark Is Serious About Reform

Matt was based repeated on the head by his wife, Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun). She wasn’t sadistic but was acting in self-defense.

As daytime drama goes, those raps on his head and the one Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) applied weeks later knocked Matt unconscious.

But he didn’t suffer any known brain damage. Rather, his personality shifted.

Seeing the reborn Matt has been quite the experience. Howarth’s hire for this role has been one of the more perfect in recent Y&R memory, with a deserved mention for Colleen Zenk’s (Jordan Howard) turn as well.

Kyle Abbott Needs To Plot Strategically

Victor is the reason why Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) nearly lost his life. He’s also the reason why Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) nearly lost hers.

Patty is responsible for both attempted murders. However, she would have never been anywhere near either of Kyle’s parents if Victor hadn’t made contact with her in the recent past.

It will be interesting to see if Patty tries to have Victor spring her from jail. She’ll surely lash out if he doesn’t, which is when Kyle can pounce.

Patty Williams Needs Someone To Blame

If Kyle can convince Patty that Victor used her and is responsible for her being behind bars, then all bets are off. It becomes plausible for Patty to be turned against Victor in this scenario.

Assuming the above plays out, Kyle will lead the Abbott’s payback plan. How much he tells his parents would be a gamble because one or both could try to shut him down.

In her twisted way, Patty cares about Jack. She lamented having to kill him and almost succeeded.

But she’s never cared about Victor, who paid her quite well to orchestrate the yacht ruse which led to Jack and Diane’s breakup.

Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns) was Patty’s partner. Having him help her escape prison or beat the legal rap would be hard for the fans to accept.

However, seeing Kyle try to convince Patty to go after Victor would make complete soapy sense.
