Y&R Spoilers: Victor Can’t Get It All Back – Nikki And Diane Share Same Space

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has already lost part of his company.

Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) signed Newman Media over to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).

Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) heads that rebranded piece now. She added her best and only friend, Audra Cortes (Zuleyka Silver), creating the uninspired title Spectra-Charles Communications.

Victor is the wily veteran who has built an empire since first founding it fifty-plus years ago. But he’s only managed to get Chancellor back, with no promise that the core of what was Newman Enterprises can be reclaimed.

Far Too Many Balls In The Air At The Ranch

Victor’s base of operations is the new Ranch house he built as a gift for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). That replica home is mostly identical to the original that longtime fans first saw in the 1980s.

Viewers with sharp memories or those of any fandom age who’ve seen various retrospective scenes know that the Ranch’s front door was flipped from the left to the right side of the screen.

However, it is a replica, and so many elements of this fabled setting are fully appreciated.

Sitting in the main chair in the living room hasn’t been easy. Victor has been switching between the theft of his life’s work, Matt Clark’s (Roger Howarth) mayhem, and major push-back by his family.

Nikki Newman Kicked Out Of Her Home

Nikki has spent extended periods of her married life in a state of flux. The pattern has involved her and Victor swimming in the lovey-dovey waters, followed by some blowout, and then a separation or divorce.

Niktor, as they were fondly dubbed by fans years ago, was remarried in 2013. Of course, soap-time is different than real time. But it appears that this third edition has been the longest-running nuptial sequel in Y&R’s history.

Both actors have previously stated that they don’t like it when their characters are fighting. But drama has been part of the soapy equation since the genesis of Genoa City, Wisconsin.

So, it would be intriguing if the writing staff goes beyond a temporary split and creates a sustained break. A divorce would represent a directional choice with major implications for both characters unless they remarried shortly thereafter.

Diane Jenkins Abbott Checks In

Diane Jenkins Abbot (Susan Walters) or the soon-to-be Diane Jenkins again? That question wasn’t plausible just days ago, but now it is after what she saw on Jaboat.

The cheeky name for the yacht Victor put Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) on offers a needed humor break, referencing a past storyline where Billy temporarily headed Jabot, bought a boat, and mashed it with the family business name, thus Jaboat was born.

Nikki and Diane could be sharing the same building for a while, with Nikki being there involuntarily. Diane chose to leave the Abbott mansion and will likely run into her nemesis.

Both ladies should commiserate and work to get their marriages back intact before too much time passes.
