Y&R Spoilers: Three Stooges In Genoa City, Wisconsin – Cane, Phyllis, And Billy Are A Riot

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) intends to take Newman Enterprises for herself. But that was never the plan she agreed to.

Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) was chloroformed. Phyllis did that, and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) became an accessory after the fact.

This trio is undisciplined, to put it nicely. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) would use much harsher language. Viewers who are familiar with classic The Three Stooges shorts see the correlation between what Cane, Phyllis, and Billy have in common with Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Curly Howard, with a Shemp Howard addendum if one prefers.

Phyllis Summers’ Freelancing Is Reckless

Phyllis has been cajoling Cane since the summer. That’s when she first convinced herself that he was her ticket to ride.

The idea was to cozy up to the recast character Flynn was hired to play. She wanted to slice Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) from his life and has done that, for the moment. But he still loves his two-time ex-wife, and Phyllis knows it.

However, Lily was out of town and out of mind. So, Phyllis believed her physical connection to Cane would cause him to forge ahead.

Lily being supposedly kidnapped changed his thinking and caused him to tell Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) to sign Newman Enterprises over to Victor, and he told one of his tech employees to destroy the artificial intelligence program.

The above happened before Phyllis knocked Cane out on the train and set her freelancing plan in motion, which includes two side deals with Billy.

Billy Abbott Takes A Needless Risk

Billy wants Chancellor back badly. He feels it was stolen from him and that he deserves to head it.

He also believes that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) deserves to head a media company. But that company won’t be Abbott Communications. Instead, he made a second side deal with Phyllis.

Sally is to become the head of Newman Media. That deal would be a second gut punch, with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) as the intended takedown target. Billy would get a twofer, as Adam’s ex would take control of the company Victor allowed him to head.

Cane Ashby Started This Mess Last Year

As devoted fans recall, Cane wanted Phyllis and Billy. He asked them to join the then Arabesque.

He clandestinely called Billy, under the guise of Aristotle Dumas, offering the Chancellor carrot back then. Billy bit.

Cane is responsible, as Victor has been reinforcing during his rap sessions with his beloved Newman inner circle, which didn’t include Abby Newman Winters (Melissa Ordway), who successfully found her son and brought him back home.

Knocked out or not, Victor plans to hold Cane responsible. Yet, it seems likely that he could work with the Moustache to stop Phyllis and Billy, who turned on him. That would be quite the turnabout and a clever way to push this storyline to a climax.
