Y&R Spoilers: Matt Hides The Truth As His Old Personality Resurfaces

The Young And The Restless spoilers reveal that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) may find his old personality resurfaces.

Matt has been determined to move on and make amends for his actions. Unfortunately, not everyone who knows Matt believes that he has changed.

Will Matt’s old personality creep back in as he keeps it a secret from Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and the Newmans?

Matt Clark Suffered A Head Injury

Matt’s whole redemption arc seemed to be a bit off in the eyes of fans. Matt’s wife, Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun), hit him with a rock as he was attacking her.

Sienna convinced herself that Matt was dead after the attack.

However, Matt appeared with amnesia and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has offered to help him. Of course, Victor has a price and that is to get close to Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).

Victor still wants Cane to pay for attacking his company in the first place even though Victor ended up with Cane’s program. Phyllis truly believes that Matt has changed and that is why she agreed to go out with him.

Old Habits Die Hard

Matt has been purely evil for years, so not everyone buys his sudden redemption.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will learn about Matt’s date with Phyllis and he is going to lose it.
Nick doesn’t believe Matt is capable of change and he certainly doesn’t want the mother of his daughter to be hurt.

Will Matt hide his evil traits when the resurface until he gets a chance to use them against Nick and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) again? Nick doesn’t trust Matt, but Nick is also dealing with a drug addiction.

Nick may not be believed either if Matt can keep his cover up. Can Matt continue to cover his tracks until he is ready to attack Nick and Sharon? Will Matt use Phyllis to get what he wants from Nick?

Will Matt Clark Fight His Impulses Instead Of Giving In?

Matt may find himself fighting his impulses because he truly doesn’t want to be this guy again.

Matt’s struggles may end with him getting help from Sharon to deal with his issues. Can Sharon trust Matt if he turns to her for help?

Will Matt be able to push is violent impulses aside and hang in there to be a better man?
Matt and Phyllis seem to be getting closer and he may truly want a relationship with her.

However, no one truly believes that Matt has changed. Will Nick be the one who notices what his going on and sounds the alarm?

Will Phyllis figure out too late that Matt hasn’t really changed at all.
