Y&R Spoilers: Mariah’s Mistake, Clue ID’s Dom’s Kidnapper?

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) has kidnapped Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Ethan Ray Clark).

While the redhead is headed out of town, she leaves behind a big clue that could identify her as the abductor pretty quickly. Keep reading to find out what could happen next in the CBS soap opera.

Ian Ward’s Pressure

Let’s begin by talking about Mariah’s mental instability. The redhead nearly killed a man (Michael Swan) with her bare hands.

The man is alive, but after that, Mariah started distancing herself from Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Aria Porter-Copeland (Millie and Maddie Ingle).

After that, Mariah checked into a mental health clinic. However, instead of getting better, she just got worse. Now Mariah is seeing hallucinations of Ian and doing what he says.

Mariah Copeland’s Crime

In a moment when Devon Winters (Bryton James) and Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) were distracted, Mariah made her criminal move.

The redhead grabbed Dominic and put him in her car. Then, she started driving away.

The Young and the Restless fans could see Dominic asleep in the back seat as Mariah calmly gets on the freeway.

There would be no reason for Dominic to fear Mariah as she has remained close with the family. With Mariah being out of sight, she’s out of mind for Devon and Abby as well. So, they wouldn’t immediately suspect her.

Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor Missing

Now that Dominc is missing, Devon and Abby think their son is just playing hide-and-seek.

However, when they still can’t find the little boy, they search the house and estate. In a preview clip, Abby tells Devon that nobody has seen Dom in hours, and it’s getting dark soon. Abby is clearly in a panic and as for Devon, he seems frozen in fear.

Eventually, they will get some help from Detective Burrow (Matt Cohen).

One Big Clue?

However, there was one big clue that aired on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. As Devon and Abby ran upstairs to search for Dominic, the camera zoomed out.

On the chair in the living room, Mariah’s scarf can be clearly seen. The woman forgot her freaking scarf!

When Abby and Devon still can’t find Dominic, they might notice the scarf. However, they might not recognize it as Mariah’s.

However, there are a few people who would recognize that scarf: Tessa and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).

It also might have been an unconscious effort on Mariah’s part to scream out for help. Maybe deep inside, she wants to get caught to end the Ian Ward madness.
