The Young And The Restless Spoilers reveal that Eric Braeden, who plays Victor Newman, recently made it clear whether or not he would be exiting the show.

Braeden is often asked about his future on the show and whether or not he plans on retiring any time soon. At 85, fans are very curious about Braeden’s answer.

Eric Braeden Speaks With Access Hollywood

Eric recently spoke with Access Hollywood about his granddaughter being his date to the Daytime Emmys and the history of his career with Y&R, where he is still front and center in the action.

Victor has a huge part in the storyline almost every day and Braeden doesn’t see that changing any time soon.

Although the 85 year old actor is going strong, the public is still curious whether or not he plans on returning in the near future.

When asked if retirement is in his immediate future, Braeden replied, “No! No! Hell, no!” With that, Braden shut down any further discussion about anything to do with retirement. Of course, Victor fans are more than happy to hear this.

Eric Braeden Loves What He Does

It is clear that Eric loves what he does and plans to keep doing it for as long as he can. With new writers taking over, it will certainly be interesting to see what Victor’s future storylines hold. Jamey Giddens and Dan O’Connor have recently replaced Josh Griffith as head writer.

This should open up the possibilities of some very interesting storylines for Victor and the rest of the Y&R cast.

Victor has recently gotten his marriage back on track and he and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) have renewed their vows even if their honeymoon had to be cut short.

Next we will see these two trying to help Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) navigating his return to society after his latest stint in rehab. Will we see a Nick and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) reunion or has he moved on?

Fans Hope To See Some New Material

Fans believe that writers has been stale lately and hope that the new writers will find a way to spice things up.

Can we move past Nikki and Victor’s make up and break up sagas and give them something else to do now that they have reunited again? Can we just face that fact that Nikki and Victor belong together and allow them to enjoy work and their family?
