Y&R Spoilers: Diane’s Sleeping Pill Scheme – What’s Her Game with Dr. Markham?

Diane has been doing everything she can to play the part of cooperative patient and stroke Dr. Markham’s ego, but that’s not enough to ensure her freedom.

Dr. Markham Has Been Pushing Diane To Accept She’ll Be In Therapy A Long, Long Time

Dr. Markham has consistently emphasized that Diane’s path to recovery is likely to be a lengthy one, trying to make it seem indefinite and non-ending.

While he appears to appreciate Diane’s dedication to their therapy sessions, she remains in the dark about how long she will need to maintain this façade.

This uncertainty might explain why Diane has begun to pressure Dr. Markham for a prescription for sleeping pills.

In the June 25 episode of Y&R, Diane was quite insistent about her need for those pills, suggesting that she may have a hidden agenda for them.

She reassured Dr. Markham that she had no intention of overdosing and emphasized her need for adequate sleep to be fully present and engaged in her therapy.

The Not-So-Good Doctor Has Hesitated To Prescribe Any Medication So Far

Despite Dr. Markham’s hesitance to prescribe any medication thus far, it’s possible that he may eventually relent and provide Diane with the sleeping pills she has been desperately requesting.

If Diane manages to acquire a sufficient quantity of these pills, she could potentially mix them into Dr. Markham’s drink when he isn’t paying attention.

This could serve as a method for Diane to incapacitate Dr. Markham temporarily.

With him out of the way, Diane might have a greater opportunity to search for an escape route on her own. There could be a less secure area of the house that offers Diane her best chance to make a run for it.

Diane Wants Those Sleeping Pills Really, Really, Badly

Regardless of the situation, it’s clear that Diane is fiercely advocating for those sleeping pills.

She may have a hidden agenda if she intends to drug Dr. Markham. She appears to be willing to explore any avenue to ensure her freedom, so keep an eye on how far she is prepared to go!
