Y&R Spoilers: Diane And Nikki Go For Victor’s Throat – Jack Adrift At Sea With Patty

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) is frantic. Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) outlook will mimic that of Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) wife soon as well.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) kidnapped his detested nemesis. It is the most aggressive and strategic move he’s made during this months-long battle with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).

Devoted viewers know that Cane lost full control when Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) stole the artificial intelligence tool Arabesque created.

Using Colin Atkinson’s (Tristan Rogers) encouragement as a guide, Cane intended to take over the legacy companies in Genoa City, Wisconsin. But his plans for Newman Enterprises went badly awry.

Phyllis Summers Weighs In Hard

Phyllis may have been playing Cane from the beginning. She offered her services to him last summer.

Cane initially dismissed Stafford’s overly eager pitches. But he reconsidered and then tried the Abraham Lincoln team of rivals approach.

That method places divergent perspectives together, with the belief that anticipated friction will produce greater results than would have been possible otherwise.

That trio dissolved but was recently revived when Cane offered Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) Chancellor and Phyllis a spot helping him run Newman Enterprises.

She one-upped Cane when rendering him unconscious and taking Victor’s company for herself, again using the AI weapon to change the game.

Diane Jenkins Abbott Can’t Think Straight

Learning that Jack was taken hostage by Victor drove Diane over the edge. This outcome goes beyond her worst fear, as she and Jack believed Jabot would be wiped out by Victor using the AI program against them.

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is by his mother’s side in this fight. Billy is considering an impossible choice, where he has to give Chancellor to Victor in exchange for his brother’s freedom.

All Diane wants is for her beloved husband to return. But that’s not likely in the short-term because Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) just returned, after being absent from the show for a decade in real-time.

Nikki Newman Soon Learns About Rerun Horror

Victor infamously kidnapped Jack years ago and replaced him with a look-alike. The Peruvian drug lord’s name was Marco Annicelli (marvelously played by Bergman in a dual role).

It seems improbable that Marco is also returning because Victor put him back in prison and had one of his ears cut off, so his handpicked villain wouldn’t have the option of impersonating Jack again. So, having Patty, who is a soapy story unto herself, monitoring Jack is quite the creative twist.

She was twice married to Jack and also had a look-alike, Emily Peterson (Haiduk in a dual role). Fans last saw Patty when she was dressed in religious clothing and teamed with Ian Ward (Ray Wise).

Nikki will be as apoplectic as Diane when she learns what Victor did. That conflict point will come when needed pressure pushes this storyline to an even higher level.

Nikki’s recent threat of divorce may be revisited with a far harsher urgency for Victor to release Jack or face marital consequences.
