Nick Off the Ledge
During Y&R’s August 7 episode Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) had a convo with his brother Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Nick is in a bad way and knows he can’t be a good dad due to his drug addiction.
Adam is Christian Newman’s (last played by Alex Wilson) biological father although Nick has raised him. It’s been a while since we’ve seen Christian and that will soon change.
Adam Helps Nick
Nick explained his situation and asked that Adam take care of Christian while he’s gone. Everyone thinks Nick is headed back to rehab but that’s a lie.
According to Nick, Christian is a teenager now, and driving, which leads us to believe that the show is preparing a plot for a SORAS’d Christian.
Is Christian in Danger?
Now that Christian is magically a teen we expect for him to be onscreen and possibly be involved in a driving mishap.
Adam agreed to keep Christian safe when Nick’s is gone but he’s in the midst of corporate wars right now so his attention will be stretched thin.
Did Y&R Signal a Car Accident?
The show sometimes mentions Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) stunning Ferrari, and it could be that the teen decides to it take for a joyride.
Ferrari’s are temperamental beasts and Christian would be out of his league trying to maneuver it as a new driver.
Soaps love to introduce recasts in facial bandages so that the switch up is all the more dramatic!
If Christian swipes grandma’s keys and crashes, it would be scintillating daytime drama, with the teen struggling to stay alive in the hospital.
