Y&R Spoilers: Cane’s Huge Cover-Up Mistake Blows Up Relationship With Lily?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) could make a massive blunder when it comes to his romantic reunion with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). Could a major blowup be ahead for Lily and Cane?

Y&R fans know Cane has been working hard to prove he’s changed, so Lily has slowly begun to trust him again.

That trust could shatter if Cane makes a bold move at Chancellor and tries to leave Lily out of the loop.

It was Cane’s idea to give Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) a Chancellor job and try to establish some peace.

However, Cane may be starting to regret that now that Billy is fixated on Jill Abbott’s (last played by Lauren Koslow) buried secret at the company.

Cane has been trying to convince Billy that this secret probably doesn’t exist and that he’s just inventing something to obsess over.

Nevertheless, Billy feels certain that he’s onto something when it comes to the mystery source of money that saved Chancellor from bankruptcy once upon a time.

Although Billy hasn’t cracked the case yet, he’ll keep digging for information in the coming episodes.

That could give Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) a chance to learn whatever Billy learns as well.

Cane has asked Holden to spy on Billy, so Holden may report back with intel regarding Billy’s next discoveries from the Chancellor archives.

Cane seems wary of what Billy will find, so it’s possible he already knows the truth and is part of the cover-up.

It’s also possible that Cane doesn’t know what’s going on yet, but he may find out the real story soon and try to bury evidence.

Cane could wind up destroying some proof along the way, especially if Jill ultimately gives him some orders to do so.

Jill might also push Cane to keep Lily in the dark on what he’s up to, but that could complicate his renewed relationship.

If Cane winds up hiding things from Lily and roping Holden into a mess, Lily certainly isn’t going to be happy about it. Lily may see signs that Cane is reverting to his old Aristotle Dumas tricks and worry their reunion was a mistake.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Cane may have to work even harder to repair the damage if he causes a romantic setback, so stay tuned for any unsettling news that might be ahead for Lily.
