The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will have a strong reaction when he finds out what Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) has been keeping from him.
Whether Lily eventually confesses or Cane finds out another way, he’s going to be worried sick over her health.
Cane is curious about Lily’s Chicago trip, but she’ll keep lying about the real reason for it. The truth is that trip was about a biopsy since there’s a chance that Lily’s cancer has returned.
Of course, it’ll take some time for the results to come back, so Lily doesn’t want to leave Cane in panic mode unless it’s absolutely necessary. Lily will plan to wait until she has more information before she divulges anything to Cane.
However, Cane might overhear Lily talking to Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) at some point and confront her.
Then again, Cane might ultimately pick up on the fact that Lily’s withholding something big and plead with her to be honest.
Even if Lily does wait until the biopsy results are in, Y&R spoilers say Cane will learn the real story sooner or later. If Lily’s cancer is really back, that could change everything for this couple.
Regardless, the thought of Lily going through more cancer treatments or potentially suffering a grim fate will really shake Cane up.
Cane has already mentioned that he’d like to remarry Lily someday, but he may realize life is too short to wait. This seems like the kind of thing that could inspire Cane to act fast and prove the depth of his love to Lily.
Even if Lily’s cancer scare turns out to be a false alarm, it could serve as a reminder for Cane about making the most of the second chance he’s been given.
Cane may quickly get his hands on an engagement ring and pop the question. We could certainly imagine Cane proposing marriage to Lily and insisting they should tie the knot ASAP.
Cane’s way of coping with this crisis may be to ask Lily to remarry him and lock in a new chapter. It could help Cane cling to hope for a long, fulfilling life with Lily by his side.
