Y&R Devon & Abby’s Newest Marital Issue – Forgiving Mariah

The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest that Devon Hamilton Winters (Bryton James) and Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) could have a new issue that places a wedge between them: forgiving Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). Will she shake up their marriage to the point where they decide to end things?

Abby Winters Is Upset

While thankfully Dominic Winters-Chancellor (Ethan Ray Park) is safe and sound, back at home, Mariah’s kidnapping of the little boy was unacceptable.

With that said, Mariah has had mental health issues for months now, and in her defense, she was seeking treatment.

Still, it’s understandable if Abby has a hard time forgiving Mariah. The mom was a complete wreck while Dominic was missing.

With that said, Devon seems a little less bitter over Mariah’s actions; he also seems to understand that their friend was mentally ill.

In some ways, it does feel as if Devon has already forgiven Mariah for what she’s done. Will Abby develop bitterness towards her hubby over time if he lets go of his anger, while she hasn’t?

Dabby’s First Major Marital Issue

Devon and Abby have been very happy for a very long time with little to no issues since before they got married in November 2024. As such, if they want to stay relevant in Genoa City, the super couple needs some problems and obstacles to endure.

One big one would be Mariah. If Abby is adamant that Mariah is not forgiven and she insists that Mariah stays out of Dominic’s life, Devon could have a problem with this.

After all, Devon and Mariah were friends before he got romantically involved with Abby. Plus, there would be no Dominic without Mariah.

What if Devon is out with Dominic and they run into Mariah? Dominic isn’t afraid of Mariah, so he may run over to the woman, and Devon may allow it, feeding off of his son’s good-natured attitude.

If Abby learns about this or sees it, she may be upset, which could create conflict between Dabby.

The couple may simply fight over forgiving Mariah in the first place, which would certainly be a starting point where their marriage begins to crack.
