Y&R Comings & Goings Week Of September 21: New Debuts, Fan Fav Returns

The Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of September 21-25 reveal some major moments on the horizon, as well as a flurry of casting news!!

The Spectra Family Grows

The Young and the Restless spoilers note some new characters making their way to Genoa City come October.

Days of Our Lives alum, Patrika Darbo, who played Nancy Wesley on the soap on and off from 1998 to 2024, will enter the canvas as Shirley Spectra.

The actress also played this character on The Bold and the Beautiful from 2017 to 2018.

Darbo has also been in a slew of primetime shows, from Married with Children to Gilmore Girls, Desperate Housewives, and more.

Plus, Ashley Campbell will enter the role of Coco Spectra, Sally’s younger sister. Campbell is a newcomer to the land of soaps and will also debut in October. Coco was once played by Courtney Grosbeck on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Both Shirley and Coco will be by Sally’s side for her wedding to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).

Fan Favorite Returns

Cait Fairbanks, who plays Tessa Porter on the CBS soap, posted a selfie on her social media, indicating she was in her dressing room at The Young and the Restless this past Wednesday, September 16.

It’s been a hot minute since fans have seen Tessa, as her last appearance was in April 2026.

As the show films several weeks ahead of broadcast, it sounds like Tessa will be seen out and about in Genoa City come late October or early November.

While Tessa and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) had split up and Tessa dove into a relationship with Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) in early August, Mariah indicated that they had reconciled. Will Teriah face more drama this fall or enjoy their family reunion? Only time will tell.
