Y&R Comings & Goings Oct 5-9: New Arrival, Recast News, Fan Favs

The Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of October 5-9 suggest some major moments in Genoa City, as well as a flurry of casting news!!

Find out who’s coming and who’s going on the CBS soap over the next five days (and beyond) below.

Welcome To Genoa City, Coco Spectra!

The Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of October 5 note that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will enjoy some pre-wedding festivities as they have their bachelorette and bachelor parties.

Teasers for the Thursday, October 8 episode hint that a surprise guest will crash Sally’s bachelorette, so it sounds like her sister Coco Spectra, now played by Ashley Campbell, will arrive on scene.

This marks the first time Coco will be in Genoa City, although audiences last saw her on The Bold and the Beautiful when she was played by Courtney Grosbeck.

Speaking of Sally’s bachelorette, recurring players (and fan favs), Abby Winters, played by Melissa Ordway, and Traci Abbott, played by Beth Maitland, will also be on hand to celebrate with Sally in the days ahead.

Holden Novak Recast

In addition, there’s some recasting news to talk about. Holden Novak has been away from Genoa City for some time now, enjoying a trip with his bio dad, Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore).

Reports reveal that Holden’s current portrayer, Nathan Owens, has quietly been dropped from the Y&R cast. While the CBS soap has yet to confirm this, word on the street is that actor Curtis Washington will be the new Holden recast.

Owens entered the role in January 2025 under false pretenses as “Damian Kane”. It was then revealed he was only pretending to be Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers), as his friend was suspicious about the Winters job he was being offered.

If Owens left the show, it makes sense as to why Holden was recast. He not only recently found out he was a Winters, but he’s got a steamy romance with Claire Newman (Hayley Erin).

In addition, with his sister, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) on the cusp of another cancer diagnosis, she’ll need all the support she can get. Plus, fans do need to see his reaction to Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) dating Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), right?

More Casting Notes

As per Michelle Stafford’s (Phyllis Summers) Instagram Stories, Lily Brook O’Briant will return to the canvas as Lucy Romalotti. Fans can expect her comeback to take place in November for Thanksgiving episodes.
