The Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of June 29-July 3 imply some major moments in GC, as well as some fun casting news!
Find out who’s coming and who’s going on the CBS soap over the next five days below.
Head Writer OUT
Josh Griffith may not be on canvas, but he has played a huge part in the show, being its head writer for years now.
News hit on Friday, June 26, that he was leaving the CBS soap, so it’ll be interesting to see where he heads next, and who will take on his role at the show.
Lauren Koslow Debuts
The Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of June 29-July 3 suggest that Days of Our Lives’ Lauren Koslow will debut as the Jill Abbott recast on Monday’s show.
The actress plays Kate Roberts Brady, a recurring role, on the Peacock soap.
This is a temporary recast, as Jess Walton was unable to film scenes due to a scheduling conflict.
With that said, Josh Griffith, the former head writer of the show (before his exit announcement) recently hyped up Koslow as the Jill recast during a Soap Opera Digest (SOD), hoping that fans would embrace her.
While he did note that the door is open for Walton to step back into the Jill role, he did say it was “based on her availability”, so only time will tell.
More Casting News
Meanwhile, The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate fans will see more of Traci Abbott, as Beth Maitland will get more airtime.
The fan favorite will be seen during the Tuesday, June 30 episode, as she and her nephew Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) worry about Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), who will seemingly go missing at some point this coming week.
Speaking of, fans will continue to see Jere Burns’ run as Dr. Laurence Markham.
This week, he’ll continue his therapy sessions with Diane Abbott (Susan Walters), and it sounds like she’ll attempt to dupe the man to escape her fate.
What exactly is her plan? Fans will have to tune in to find out! What storyline are you most looking forward to during the week of June 29-July 3?
