Y&R Comings & Goings Jan 12-16: One Character Exits & One Character Returns

The Young and the Restless spoilers confirm that Lily Winters has left the canvas for the time being. Due to all the drama, Lily decided to exit the land of GC, temporarily, of course, to pay her daughter, Mattie Ashby (Lexie Stevenson), a visit.

Of course, the character’s portrayer, Christel Khalil, is expecting her third child, and the storyline exit is simply a way to write Lily out because of the actress’s maternity leave.

Lily was getting closer to ex-hubby, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), in the past few weeks, but that all came to a halt with her exit. Now that she’s gone, it seems as if Cane is gravitating back toward Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).

What kind of shocker will Lily come back to when she returns to the little town? Y&R fans will have to tune in to find out!

Abby Winters Returns (+ Others)

As per actress Melissa Ordway’s Instagram post, Abby Winters is slated for a splashing return on the CBS soap opera. The actress uploaded a video montage on IG, with various behind-the-scenes footage of her getting ready in hair and make-up.

There was also a clip of her with Camryn Grimes (Mariah Copeland) and Lauralee Bell (Christine Romalotti) hanging out, and then of Ordway walking on the beach.

The video had “Okayyy We Back” by Andy Mineo and Mark Morrison playing in the background. The actress’s Instagram caption read, “POV: We’re back. First day filming in 2026 ✨ and ending it the best way… a walk on the beach. #bts  #filming

The Young and the Restless cast and crew are officially back to filming in 2026, and as the video highlights Ordway with Grimes and Bell, this also means fans can expect to see Abby, Mariah, and Christine on canvas in the next six weeks or so.
