Young & Restless Legend Arrested For Battery

A former Young and the Restless cast member is back in the news this month after vanishing from Hollywood over three decades ago.

Long time soap fans will recall that Jess Walton was actually a recast in 1987, and took over the role from leading lady  Brenda Dickson.

The Young and the Restless’ casting move stirred up a lot of scandal in daytime television.  Dickson alleged in a wild $10M lawsuit that William Bell was having an affair with her and had the actress harassed by the mafia and blacklisted in Hollywood.  Now several decades later, the former Y&R star is back in court.

According to a new report from TMZ, Brenda Dickson was arrested and charged with battery (a misdemeanor) and released on July 9, 2026.

There’s no further details regarding her case or who pressed charges against the 77 year old actress.  But, it most likely has something to do with her bizarre social media videos that were posted on July 21.

Dickson slapped on a filter that made here look like a 40 year old cartoon version of herself and went on a lengthy rant.

The former Y&R star revealed that she was currently embroiled in some sort of legal battle over her house and that she was thrown out.

She added that she was on the way to the court house to “meet with Judge Whittaker,” because there’s a drug lord bullying her at her new residence.

It’s believed that the battery charges a few weeks ago stemmed from when Dickson was removed from her home.

The 77 year old is clearly dealing with some issues, hopefully some friends or family step in and help her get situated and in to a safe living situation.
