Will Y&R Jack Fall For Nikki?

As Y&R fans know, Jack (Peter Bergman) betrayed Diane (Susan Walters) by sleeping with Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk).

Diane caught Jack and Patty in bed together. Victor (Eric Braeden) manipulated a plan to get his company back. The plan involved Jack and Patty being stuck in a room together.

Jack has been reaching out to Diane to no avail. She doesn’t want anything to do with him right now.

Diane feels betrayed and doesn’t want to take him back. With no one else to turn to, he heads for Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott).

Nikki wants to bring Jack and Diane back together. She didn’t approve of Victor’s plan and wanted to set the record straight. Nikki reached out to Diane to explain that Jack was drugged and assaulted against his will, but Diane refused to listen.

Diane was too hurt to listen to reason. She has never been a fan of Nikki and didn’t care for her defending Jack. What does Jack do when his wife doesn’t want to listen to reason?

He tried everything he could to get Diane to forgive him, but it hasn’t done any good. Diane feels this act of betrayal destroyed their marriage.

With no one else to turn to, Jack turns to Nikki. She is the only person who understands what he’s going through. They understand what it’s like to be recovering addicts.

Nikki has always been in his corner. Jack doesn’t have to explain to her what involuntary drugging does to a former addict. She knows how he feels.

According to spoilers, Jack leans on Nikki for support. This type of comfort cements the bond they share. He’s getting support from Nikki that he’s not getting from Diane. The support Nikki gives Jack isn’t just platonic. It’s emotional support.

Jack can be vulnerable with Nikki in ways that he can’t with Diane. Emotional comfort is more damaging to a marriage than a physical affair. Diane and Victor are upset with Jack and Nikki so it’s easy for them to turn to each other for comfort.

As soap fans know, comfort usually turns to love. Fans shouldn’t be surprised if Jack and Nikki rekindle a romance now that Diane refuses to take him back.

As if Jack didn’t suffer enough, Victor isn’t finished with him. To get back at Jack, he plans to help Diane give him a taste of his own medicine. According to spoilers, Victor plans to help Diane ruin her marriage.

He doesn’t plan his attack out of nowhere. Victor has been bitter towards Jack because he believes he stole Nikki’s loyalty. He won’t rest until he destroys Jack completely. Diane won’t be happy when she sees Jack and Nikki growing closer.

Will she use their closeness to justify teaming up with Victor? Did Diane give Jack and Nikki what they needed to reunite?
