Last week General Hospital quietly introduced their Ethan Lovett recast, Christian Howard. But, what happened to Nathan Dean (Parsons)?
The fan fave returned to Port Charles earlier this year and viewers were thrilled to have him back on the ABC soap. Keep reading to find out why Nathan Dean left GH, possible spoilers down below!
GH Spoilers: Nathan Dean Exits
According to General Hospital comings and goings, Nathan Dean’s final air date was on July 17, 2026.
That means the actor actually left the soap opera before June. Ethan’s storyline has been on the backburner a bit, so Christian Howard’s first air date as the character was on July 27.
When Nathan Dean (formerly Parsons) confirmed that he was returning to the ABC soap opera, he shared all the details in an exclusive interview with TV Insider.
The actor made it pretty clear that his return would only be brief. Frank Valentini also stated that Nathan’s contract was only for a few months.
GH Spoilers: Will Dean Return
The General Hospital cast member and his wife Kristen are actually expected to welcome baby number three any day now. They shared the pregnancy announcement on social media four months ago.
At that time, Nathan’s wife was probably already a few months along and that would put her due date at any day now.
If Nathan Dean is going to return the soap opera, it probably won’t be until after his wife gives birth and brings their newest addition to the family home.
Even if Dean’s contract hadn’t expired, he would have taken time off right now and needed a replacement to step in.
Were you sad to see that General Hospital had recast the role of Ethan Lovett? What do you think of Nathan’s replacement, are you hoping he is coming back?
