Survivor Spoilers: Jeff Probst Talks REAL Reason Rob Antonson Quit

This week’s Survivor episode nearly broke the internet, but not because a cast member was voted off the island.

Fans were puzzled and took to social media after Rob unexpectedly quit the show.  His exit became controversial because Rob insisted it was for medical reasons, but the doctors couldn’t find anything wrong with him.

Survivor Player Quits Mid Show

Rob Antonson’s game on Survivor seemed to start deteriorating early in Season 51, we are only on Episode 3!  First he tried to “break” the game and vote out himself at Tribal Council, then the producers intervened and told him that wasn’t possible.

After Antonson was shot down by TPTB at Tribal Council, he spent the night on the beach talking to himself.  When the sun came up, he announced he was injured and had to leave the show early and go home.

Per standard protocol, a medical team rushed in to give him aid.  But, the docs came to the conclusion that nothing was wrong with the Survival player.

After the unexpected exit from Survivor, host Jeff Probst had a lot to say in his Episode 3 Field Notes.  Probst seems to agree with the other players on the show, his notes imply that he thinks Antonson’s injury claims are bogus too.

Jeff Probst Gets Real About Rob’s Exit

Probst explained, “He had said in interview that he stepped on something in the ocean, but never once asked for medical to check him out. That’s unusual as we check in on the players quite frequently. When we finally had Dr. Barry give him an examination at camp, Dr. Barry couldn’t find anything wrong with Rob.”

The Survivor host went on to point out that despite being Episode 3, the players have already been living in the wilderness for 6 days.  According to Probst, Antonson appeared to be mentally and physically exhausted already.  Do you think that his foot really hurt, or was that just a copout to get off the island?
