Recap of Survivor 51, Episode 2 – Ouchie!

First things first, if you aren’t a fan of blood and gore, then Episode 2 wasn’t for you! Unfortunately, Brady on the Toka tribe (yellow) sliced his thumb right off while at camp.

Brady impressed his tribe and audiences (including Jeff Probst) with how he handled the entire thing, and seemed more concerned about staying in the game than the pain he was in.

In the end, Brady was given some medication and bandages and went back on his merry way, staying to play for another day. In addition, Lewis returned from Exile Island to become the newest member of Toka.

Over at Savu (purple), the tribe lost the immunity challenge and headed for a vote. While everyone was on board to vote out Eric – at first – Ana placed a nice target on her back when she threw out Sharonda and Linnea’s names to split the vote. Ana then put her name out there, because she realized her mistake … but it was too late.

In addition, Sharonda and Linnea believed a blindside was going to take place between Ori, Carter, Ana, and Rob, so they concocted a scheme to get Ana out first to gain the upper hand.

With that said, Rob believed Eric was going home at this point, and he organized a plan of his own! Rob was super mysterious about it.

He pulled Eric aside before Tribal Council and told him that they were going to make history tonight. Rob stated, “What I want to do for you, I don’t think it’s ever been done before.”

He advised Eric to play his Shot in the Dark before the votes were read and then, if that was not successful, he’d give him his immunity idol. Still, he didn’t give Eric any solid information, so Eric was skeptical.

Before host Jeff Probst started the vote at tribal council, Rob took Eric aside and told him that ‘Ana is a fake vote’, and that he’s the target.

Rob then goes to vote himself, and after a big speech at the voting booth, noting how Eric deserves to be there, Rob places his own name on the paper. This is when productions members note that he can’t do this and must place someone else’s name on there.

In the end, Eric didn’t use his Shot in the Dark, Rob looked a little silly, and Ana was blindsided and sent home packing!

On The Next Survivor

The preview for Episode 3 is out, and Survivor 51 spoilers note that each tribe will pick one person from their group to send to the other tribe.

Eric will help Savu win a challenge and celebrate. Plus, Devins will place a target on his back, as Danny tells Thien that, “Devins thinks he’s in control.”

Over at the Toka tribe, someone goes looking into another person’s backpack and discovers an immunity idol, creating chaos at camp.
