Sister Wives Star Madison Brush Slams “Chaotic” Childhood With Brown Family

Sister Wives star Madison Brush (Brown) has been open about choosing a different path then her mother did.  As the daughter of Kody and Janelle Brown, Madison was thrust in to the cameras at a young age and grew up on reality television.  Over the years she has made it very clear she wants her children to grow up differently than she did in Kody Brown’s polygamist family.

Madison Brush isn’t super active on social media, but she took to Instagram recently to reflect on her childhood growing up.

Janelle Brown’s daughter went in to detail about how peaceful her life with her husband Caleb Brush and their four kids.

Madison got married and moved to the other side of the country as fast as she could and never really looked back.

Her mom Janelle is still close with Maddie and the mother and daughter duo are currently building a homestead together in North Carolina.

Maddie Brown Brush Talks Stressful Childhood

On June 29, Maddie shared an emotional post about her childhood with the Brown Family.  Brush explained in the caption, “I didn’t grow up knowing what peace felt like.  At least not in the nervous system sense. Not even in the ‘exhale at the end of the day’ sense.”

The Sister Wives star added, “My childhood was chaotic in ways I’ve spent my entire adult life making sense of and choosing to build something completely different from.  That’s the short version. Maybe one day, I’ll tell the long one.”

It’s no secret that Maddie and her father Kody Brown are estranged.  It’s not even known if he has met all of her kids, the father and daughter haven’t been on good terms in years.  In the past Madison stated she was open to a reconciliation, however Kody never made any effort.
