Sister Wives fans really enjoyed hate-watching Robyn and Kody Brown, but they’re not in Season 21, and TLC fans have to ponder whether it’s better without them or not. Some interesting reactions arrived on social media following the premiere on October 4.
Going Over Old Ground
Teasers showed that Christine Brown had no idea what was going on with them. Janelle said she was “flabbergasted.” Meanwhile, Meri Brown said, “I was actually surprised when I was told that Kody and Robyn weren’t coming back to the show.”
Recently, TLC fans saw that the three ex-wives chatted about their lives, and Meri wanted to sort some of the issues she had with Christine.
Meanwhile, Janelle talked about seeing her stylist, and Christine’s daughter, Truely, mentioned her relationship with her mom’s husband, David Woolley.
Of course, they also had conversations about being “basement wives.”
Questions To Consider
It’s a step beyond the first few episodes that mostly focused on their new lives sans Kody and Robyn. But is the new show riveting? An OP in the r/SisterWives subreddit raised some questions:
So for the people who wanted this show without Kody and Robyn, is this the stuff you were excited to see? Edit do you think there’ll be another season after this?
Fans React
Most of the Sister Wives fans who reacted seemed to think that it’s okay to watch, but they doubted they’d sit and watch it for years on end.
One person commented, “Curiosity is the only reason I watch. I must say that watching all three women together without Kody and Robyn has been refreshing. It’s a new dynamic, but I don’t need to see anymore seasons after this.”
Here are a few more responses from the discussion:
- “I hope it’s the last season.”
- “it’s kinda obvious they were forced to make this season about healing the sisterwives relationships and some of them definitely don’t want to. Maybe that will loosen up over the season, hopefully. I’d love to see them just start to get along, even if they aren’t close.”
- “I had decided that I wasn’t going to continue watching if Kody and Robyn were still on. The current producers have picked some interesting clips of them to include in the flashbacks, just to remind of us of their true natures.”
- “I thought they said the same things we’ve heard all along. I can’t share a kitchen, Meri was hard to live with, polygamy was hard, etc.”
- “But are they actually though? Im trying to think of one thing that i didnt know, or suspected, before this season.”
The New Season Is Boring?
Another commenter talked about how they prefer Sister Wives without Kody and Robyn Brown, but they find the show so boring now that they “fast forward through 80 percent of the show.”
