For MomTok, the success they once dreamed about has finally arrived—but it hasn’t come quietly. The newly released trailer for season 4 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which dropped Wednesday, Jan. 21, shows a group of women standing at the edge of something bigger than ever before.
Opportunities are multiplying, careers are taking off, and yet the trailer makes one thing painfully clear: growth may be testing the very bond that built MomTok in the first place.
Right from the start, the trailer leans into how far the group has come. Taylor Frankie Paul is stepping into reality TV royalty with a role on The Bachelorette.
Whitney Leavitt and Jennifer Affleck are trading TikTok for the ballroom on Dancing with the Stars. Layla Taylor is walking New York Fashion Week. What began as a tight-knit online community is now firmly planted in the mainstream spotlight.
Taking it all in, Layla reflects, “I’m so proud of everyone in MomTok. All of us are spreading our wings.”
But the excitement doesn’t come without hesitation. Almost immediately, she adds, “But all the cool opportunities could potentially pull us apart.”
When Success Starts to Strain the Bond
As the trailer moves forward, the celebratory tone slowly gives way to something heavier. Fame brings pressure—and this group appears to be feeling every bit of it.
Season 4 features Taylor Frankie Paul, Whitney Leavitt, Jennifer Affleck, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, Layla Taylor, Miranda Hope, and Jessi Ngatikaura. Notably missing from the preview is Demi Engemann, an absence that doesn’t go unnoticed.
Emotions run high throughout the footage. In one vulnerable moment, Layla is seen holding a distraught Miranda Hope as she admits, “Everything just immediately goes up in flames.”
Elsewhere, the tension is spelled out bluntly. Jessi warns, “No one’s safe,” before Mayci delivers a line that feels painfully accurate: “We’re like a dysfunctional family.”
One Phone Call Changes Everything
The most unsettling moment of the trailer centers on Taylor Frankie Paul. In a brief but intense scene, she’s shown in tears during a phone call with someone viewers never see. Her words land hard:
“I hate all of you because you all knew. Goodbye.”
The scene offers no context—only questions. What was kept from her? Who knew? And how much damage has already been done?
Just when it seems the drama can’t escalate further, the trailer ends on one final bombshell. Jessi asks, “Is she going to be a pregnant bachelorette?”
What Lies Ahead for MomTok
Season 4 picks up right where season 3 left off, revisiting unresolved conflicts while exploring what happens when internet fame turns into full-blown celebrity. Relationships are shifting, loyalties are being tested, and the line between friendship and business feels thinner than ever.
As MomTok balances public success with private fallout, the upcoming season promises big wins, raw emotions, and consequences no amount of fame can smooth over.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives returns March 12 on Hulu.
