Savannah Guthrie Skips Today Show To Search For Missing Mother

Today Show viewers got some unexpected news when they turned on their TV sets and poured their coffee.  Savannah Guthrie was noticeably missing on Monday February 2nd from the broadcast and it was quickly revealed why.  Guthrie has a family emergency in Arizona and she needs her fans help finding someone very important to her.  

Today Show Host Searches For Missing Mom

On the February 2nd, it was revealed on the Today Show that fan fave Savannah Guthrie was absent because her beloved mother is missing.  Sheinelle Jones is filling in temporarily for her co-worker, while Guthrie is helping her family search for her mom.

Savannah is blessed to have a huge following and access to national television to get the word out about Nancy Guthrie.  The Today host shared an official statement Monday morning.

“On behalf of our family, I want to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers, and messages of support. Right now, our focus remains on the safe return of our dear mom.

We thank law enforcement for their hard work on this case and encourage anyone with information to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department at 520-351-4900.” 

According to the Pima County sheriff, Nancy Guthrie may be elderly but she is good and sound mind. 

Whatever the police found when they searched Nancy’s home caused them to spring in to action, but details are being kept quiet now.  A rep from the Pima Sheriff did say that the cops haven’t ruled out homicide or foul play either.  

Right now Savannah Guthrie’s family is desperately searching the area around Nancy’s home, and the sheriffs have brought in several volunteers and tracking dogs.
