Prince William Isn’t Happy With Meghan Markle Having A Hand In Shaping Princess Diana’s Legacy

Earlier this year, we learned that the Sussexes are looking forward to producing a biopic focused on the late Princess Diana’s legacy. This biopic will reportedly be made in time for the 30th anniversary of her death.

Per the news, Meghan will be heavily involved in the research and development of the biopic, making William naturally unhappy about the whole thing.

Prince William Feels Meghan Markle’s Involvement With Princess Diana’s Biopic Is Crossing the Line

Prince William and Prince Harry have been estranged for as far back as Jan. 2023 when ‘Spare’ hit the shelves.

The idea is that William is going about his day, ignoring the existence of his younger brother. However, the latest news that Harry and wife are working on a Princess Diana biopic seems to have caught his attention once more.

According to sources, Prince William is “truly infuriated” by the move. The major point of his anger comes from the fact that Meghan will have a major role in the project, albeit behind-the-scenes.

Having the former actress, 44, who has been accused of cosplaying the late Princess on several occasions, have that amount of control on the project has shaken his confidence to the extent he feels it’s a bridge of etiquette.

“He sees her presence as crossing a deeply personal line and feels that allowing her to shape or profit from Diana’s legacy amounts to a profound betrayal of his mother’s memory,” the insider shared.

The source added: “From William’s point of view, this goes beyond anything that’s happened before. He sees it as a fundamental boundary being breached and finds the whole idea profoundly distasteful.”

On Harry’s part, he feels that his mother’s “story should be told outside of palace walls.” In addition to this, he’s fed up with William telling him what he can and cannot do.

For this reason, he has neglected to get a “sign-off” from his brother before proceeding on with the project. “He resents the idea that anyone should police how he remembers Diana,” a source close to the Duke told RadarOnline.
