It is said that Prince William is resisting all of brother Prince Harry’s attempts at reconciliation. Now, Omid Scobie may call it petty for someone who is meant to be a King, but our sources say the guy has his righteous reasons.

Prince William Still Can’t Figure Out Where the Sussexes Stand With the Royal Family

When Harry and Meghan quit their roles as working royals and came to America, did they do it for privacy, or did they do it in hopes that they can establish themselves as American royals?

Whatever is the main reason they did it, the truth remains that the Sussexes have a way of mimicking the Royal Family that’s a bit too on the nose.

For example, their branded “faux” royal tour of Australia reportedly left a bad taste on the tongue of working royals. This, according to an insider, has further strengthened William’s resolve to keep keeping Harry at “arm’s length.”

“There is a quasi-royal vibe with these trips, and it’s confusing,” the insider noted, adding, “Exploiting their royal status to earn money is making them intolerable for the palace.”

“It seems they are trading on old connections in a way that shouldn’t be acceptable because they are no longer working members of the royal family,” the source added.

If there was a key difference between what Harry and Meghan did and what working royals would do on a tour like that, it would be that they won’t be busy merching off clothes for some cheap affiliate change. But that is not all that William has used to justify his lack of interest in reconciling with his brother.

According to the insider, William isn’t sure he can open the lines of communication once more because of the Sussex duo’s affinity to the press.

The fact that the couple is well-known for always trying to tell their side of the story to the world doesn’t necessarily create favorable conditions for a reunion, now does it?

“It’s taking steps forward then steps back,” the source said of Harry and Meghan’s relentless media presence. “Their media omnipresence is something that has created continued strain. It’s been a barrier to repairing the relationship. Just when the flames of controversy die down, they have an uncanny ability to start another one.”
