Prince Harry Wants This Part of Royal Family Life Back

Prince Harry Wants This Part of Royal Family Life Back

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit from the Royal Family in 2020 was as uproarious as possible, with the Sussexes grappling with the British media and smearing the Royal Family in the same vein. But these days, that’s all water under the bridge, or so Harry hopes.

Prince Harry Is “Missing” This Royal Family Element From His Life

Living in LA, surrounded by Hollywood’s elite, Prince Harry is said to be struggling to adjust to the new environment.

Don’t get our source Christopher Andersen wrong, Harry is “content” to live in his multi-million dollar Montecito mansion, though it’s not exactly all picture perfect.

Speaking to US Weekly, Andersen said, “People often forget that Harry is at his core an army officer. He’s all about structure, honor and duty — things that are missing from his life in Montecito.”

This was a sentiment that historian Marlene Koenig agreed with, adding, “Harry’s life was far more structured in the UK. He had responsibilities and official events to attend.”

With this structure missing, Harry is said to be having a hard time finding his beat again. At present, he makes TV appearances and does the odd speaking engagements.

In the past, he and Meghan attempted to set up their own version of a Royal Calendar by going on two “faux” royal tours to Nigeria and Colombia.

Last year, news surfaced that they mean to also visit Australia in the same vein, but so far not much is known regarding whether they still plan to proceed with the arrangement.

Prince Harry Wants His Children To Get To Know Their Royal Heritage

In addition to missing the “structure” of the Royal Family, Harry is also said to be disappointed at all the years his children have spent growing up without getting to know and experience their British heritage.

“I miss the weird family gatherings when we’re all sort of brought together under one roof for certain times of the year,” Harry told the BBC in May last year. “The things that [my kids are] going to miss is, well, everything. I love my country, I always have done… and I think that it’s really quite sad that I won’t be able to show my children my homeland.”

Weighing in on this, Andersen noted that the reality Harry and his family are always exempted from major Royal Family gatherings must be a huge blow.

“Does it pain Harry to be pointedly excluded from times when the royal family gets together, like Christmas at Sandringham? Of course it does,” Andersen said, adding, “Neither he nor his children are sharing in their royal heritage.”
