Prince Harry Urges Court to Consider Meghan Markle’s Mental Health

Prince Harry took the stand in his court case against the publisher of Daily Mail and revealed the various ways the newspaper has succeeded in making his life and those of his loved ones a misery.

Here’s what he said on the situation, especially as to how it pertains to his wife Meghan Markle’s mental health.

As one of several high profile claimants against the Daily Mail publisher, Associated Newspapers Limited, Prince Harry took the stand to testify on Jan. 21.

In his testimony, he made his case by bringing up the various ways the newspaper’s intrusion has hurt and even shaped the cause of his life.

According to him, his mother Princess Diana and wife Meghan Markle are the reasons he chose to pursue this case against ANL, the British publisher behind The Daily Mail and Mail On Sunday.

In addition to seeing how the media hounded Princess Diana until her death, Prince Harry was forced to watch again when the reality repeated against his wife Meghan, who he began dating in 2016.

At the time, he realized that the Palace’s “never complain, never explain” mantra would no longer cut it, and he had to do something about it.

“The situation got worse when she became pregnant and after our son, Archie, was born,” Harry revealed. Even though Meghan’s situation eventually motivated him to take action against several British outlets, he noted that after his mother’s death, he’d always had an uneasy relationship with the press.

“However, as a member of the Institution the policy was to ‘never complain, never explain,’” Harry said. “There was no alternative; I was conditioned to accept it.”

Growing emotional, he continued: “I’ve never believed that my life is open season to be commercialized by these people. They have made my wife’s life an absolute misery, my Lord.”

Harry admitted that he himself has also suffered greatly at the hands of tabloid stories, which has left him “paranoid beyond belief.”

He called the entire thing a “nightmare,” demanding justice against the perpetrating outlets.
