Prince Andrew’s 3-Step Plan to Improve Great Britain Revealed by Former Prime Minister

When Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor isn’t being a fiend or a traitor, he’s been known to spend his time actually coming up with some interesting ideas on how to fix up the UK in a jiffy.

One of his most interesting ideas was to knock down “eyesore” Battersea Power Station to attract Billionaire investors. Here’s what Boris Johnson revealed of the awkward conversation.

Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson Reveals “Bizarre” Improvement Tips He Received From Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor

In a column he penned for the Daily Mail, Boris Johnson revealed a “bizarre” conversation he had with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor when he was still the Mayor of London.

Johnson had arrived at Buckingham Palace under the summons of Andrew, who was, at the time, working as a trade envoy for the UK.

Over tea, Andrew chatted endlessly about his big ideas to improve the UK. One of them, of course, was how to wisely attract billionaire investors. I mean, what’s a strong economy without billionaire investors, right?

To make this a reality, he suggested that Battersea Power Station, which he described as “an eyesore, a ruin” should be demolished.

“Why don’t we just knock it down?” the then-Duke proposed.

Johnson’s deputy mayor Sir Simon Milton patiently explained that this was not feasible, because said “eyesore” was a Grade 1-listed building, an “architectural masterpiece” and part of the country’s “cultural heritage.”

They did suggest a middle ground, where the building could be improved without the need to destroy it.

For some reason, Andrew rejected this idea, saying, “It’ll never happen.”

In response, Milton looked around the Palace, before suggesting, “Why don’t we knock down Buckingham Palace?” To this, the then-Prince was said to have simply responded with a glare.

Andrew’s second suggestion, of course, also revolved around his billionaire pals. Apparently he wanted London Heathrow airport to undergo certain changes, because a significant number of his investor friends found the immigration queues rather exhausting. In addition to this, not enough of his pals were “allowed to use the VIP suite.”

At the time, Johnson had been considering building a second airport in the Thames estuary. The one problem was the presence of a sunken World War II munitions boat, the SS Richard Montgomery.

Andrew readily had a solution for this, suggesting that they “make a huge steel net and wrap it round the wreck so that if it exploded the shock waves would not damage the airport.”

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor Believed London’s Traffic Was “Damaging London’s Reputation”

Another one of Andrew’s brilliant ideas had to do with doing away with London’s Traffic congestion, since his pals were fed up with it and it was “damaging London’s reputation.”

To solve this, he suggested that the traffic lights could simply be rephased, leaving it green most of the time, and thereby speeding things up.
