Police Expand Epstein Probe to Include Prince Andrew’s Former Security Team

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is currently being investigated by the police over suspicion of misconduct in public office.

Following his release 11 hours after his arrest on Thursday, Feb. 19, the police have launched a serious investigation into Andrew’s dealings as UK’s trade envoy.

If you’re still in the dark, this investigation was prompted after it was discovered that Andrew sent “good pal” Jeffrey Epstein classified documents via email. This document contained a list of “high value commercial opportunities” in Afghanistan.

Police Asks Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s Former Protection Officers To Assist In Ongoing Investigation

Andrew may still be indignant over his arrest on Thursday – if reports are to be believed, he screamed “I am the Queen’s son” at the police – but he may be in for something bigger than 11 hours at the Aylsham Police Station.

In addition to searching a mansion the previous Duke of York previously used, the police has urged Andrew’s former protection officers to come forward with news relating to Epstein.

This is coming after speculations arose that Andrew’s bodyguards likely witnessed and turned a blind eye to some of the former Prince’s lecherous activities.

Per the Met Police, they’re “identifying and contacting” former and serving protection officers and asking them to “consider carefully” whether there was anything of note they could report.

It’s not yet clear whether Thames Valley Police (TVP) – the force behind his arrest – mean to press charges against him.

It is also believed that a total of nine police officers have opened investigations, as regards to the evidence provided in the more than three million documents in the Epstein files.

Amongst the things they’re looking into is that the city’s airports “may have been used to facilitate human trafficking and sexual exploitation.”

While no protection officers have been charged with wrongdoing, the police still finds it necessary to speak with them as part of the ongoing investigations.

The statement read: “The Met is identifying and contacting former and serving officers who may have worked closely, in a protection capacity, with Andrew Mountbatten‑Windsor.”

“They have been asked to consider carefully whether anything they saw or heard during that period of service may be relevant to our ongoing reviews and to share any information that could assist us.”

At the same time, the government is considering removing Andrew from the line of succession.
