Welcome Back, Ethan Lovett!
General Hospital spoilers remind fans that news about Nathan and Ethan’s return hit some weeks ago, and many fans were over-the-moon about the announcement.
When talking about Ethan’s return to TV Insider, the soap’s Executive Producer, Frank Valentini, stated that the show has a “… great story planned – with, of course, a few twists along the way.”
Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) and Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) son had an initial run that took place from 2009 to 2012, although Ethan (and Nathan) did return in 2015 during the late Anthony Geary’s exit storyline from GH.
Dean also reprised Ethan in 2020 for a few shows when he popped up in Monte Carlo while Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) were there on a mission of their own. In 2023, the role was briefly recast when James Ryan entered the part.
Now, fans can expect Ethan to officially return to the land of Port Charles during the Friday, April 17 episode.
Nathan Dean’s Resume
In addition to his soapy run on GH, Dean has also made quite the impact in primetime. He’s starred in The Originals and True Blood – both vampire dramas – as well as a recurring role on Once Upon a Time and was part of the Roswell revival from 2019 to 2022.
Dean’s work at General Hospital as Ethan earned him a 2012 Daytime Emmy nomination in the Younger Actor category.
Still, what will bring Ethan back to the little town, and how much drama will his return stir up? Fans will have to tune in to find out – but all the fun starts as of April 17!
