In early 2025, Meghan Markle launched As Ever. A year later, the company’s only partner Netflix decided to humbly back out.
When the news hit that Netflix was exiting the lifestyle brand, there were also reports that thousands of As Ever stock were sitting unwanted at warehouses.
Regardless of this, Meghan remains determined to take her fledgling lifestyle brand from cradle to a Fortune 500 company.
Now that Netflix has dropped out, she’s sadly embarking on this hard road alone. So it’s not surprising that she’s been trying a bunch of new things.
Of course not every idea is going to stick and experimenting is part of the process.
However, the Duchess was not without detractors as she tried to revamp As Ever – on and off Instagram.
Royal Expert Says Meghan Markle Needs To Put Out More Content To Grow As An Influencer
When Netflix stepped back from As Ever earlier this year, Meghan’s PR team announced that the Duchess is somewhat happy over the development.
Netflix’s exit would possibly pave the way for the brand to reach its full potential. The streaming giant was said to have been too cautious in supporting the growth of the company, or so the story went.
These days, Meghan has decided to return with a more polished look for the brand. With warm filters and elegant lettering, the former actress attempted to reintroduce her brand to the world in a new video.
“Welcome to the World of As ever,” the video’s caption read. “What began with fruit from Meghan’s garden, simmered into preserves in her home kitchen, has inspired our curated collections to bring surprise and delight to your everyday.”
Weighing in on Meghan’s latest move, former BBC correspondent Jennie Bond said, “I think she’s right to keep everything fresh and new. We all know that most people these days suffer from having the concentration of a gnat.”
“It’s the world we live in, and we seem to be constantly seeking change,” she said, adding, “Since being an influencer and entrepreneur through her social media now seems to be her chosen career path, Meghan needs to take it seriously and keep her followers engaged.”
“Judging by the numbers, people are more interested in her than the As Ever brand: she has more than four times the followers on her personal page. So she needs to keep on putting out the content to attract more business.”
Meghan recently flogged As Ever’s latest offering – elegant matchboxes – on her Instagram page.
