Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie may have caught a few stray bullets thanks to the conducts of their illustrious parents, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, but they’re by no means eternally unwelcome from attending royal events.
What this means is that the royals are likely on their way to making their grand return soon. Very soon, if King Charles has a say in it, and you can bet he most certainly does.
Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie Expected To Join Future Royal Family Celebrations After Missing Easter
Beatrice and Eugenie have opted to celebrate their Easter holiday separately from King Charles and other members of the Royal Family.
But this is not likely to be the case going forward, as reports have emerged that Charles extended his nieces an invite to the Royal Ascot horse races happening in June.
This is coming after the Daily Mail published a report in February to say that the young royals have been banned from Royal Ascot, following their parents’ Jeffrey Epstein-related scandals.
However, even though Andrew and Sarah Ferguson have been stripped of their titles and any remaining royal vestige, Charles has no plans to extend the same courtesy to their children.
In fact, it’s been since speculated that Andrew agreed to give up his titles quietly, if Charles allowed his daughters’ to keep theirs.
At present, it’s understood that several senior royals have continued to check in on the Princesses, due to the nature of their parents’ public fallout and how it has affected their own privacy.
Even though Charles has extended the invitation, it remains to be seen whether the sisters feel brave enough to accept it.
“The question is, would they want to go to a public event of that nature? They will get criticism whether they go or not – and not just that event. They just can’t win,” a friend of the sisters shared.
Per royal expert, Jennie Bond, it would be wise if the Princesses maintained a low profile. “Like it or not to, they would draw unwelcome press attention to themselves if they were to join the rest of the royals, so it might be better for all involved if they keep a low profile for now.”
