Kendra Duggar Shares Anxiety Struggles During Jail Call With Husband Joseph

Two days after Joseph Duggar was taken into custody, Kendra Duggar was arrested on March 20 by the Tontitown Police Department.

She was promptly charged with four misdemeanor counts of false imprisonment as well as four misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child, before being released 90 minutes later.

During that time, she managed to get ahold of her husband, who was still in custody at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, and opened up about her struggles.

Kendra Duggar Says She Doesn’t Like Being Alone For Long Periods of Time Following Legal Troubles

Kendra, 27, who shares four children with Joseph, 31, opened up about her personal struggles, amid ongoing child endangerment and child molestation charges leveled against them.

“I was anxious to pick up the phone,” she said in the jail audio obtained by Page Six, going on to describe her anxiety as being “on a whole other level.”

She continued, “At one moment I could be fine, and the next minute I could be, you know, absolutely beside myself. I didn’t know what to do or what to say or what to talk about. I was kind of just spiraling downhill and thankfully [your mom, Michelle Duggar] brought food up to me and stopped me and prayed with me and stuff.”

Kendra admitted that it was hard to “be by [herself]” for long periods of time.

Joseph, on his own part, uses his faith to get through the tough times. Prior to his extradition to Florida, where he was released on a $600,000 bail, he’d been in custody at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for nearly two weeks.

“I focus on my Bible reading,” Joseph told his wife in another March call obtained by Us Weekly. “It’s actually been really encouraging, because they have, like, little things below it that kind of either describe it or just give a different perspective of it, of a verse. It’s been really good.”

“It’s a lot to deal with,” the ‘Counting On’ alum confessed. “I’ll continue to pray that things will settle and people will all be good there.”
