Police are hunting for Isabelle Rose Johnson across three southern states. According to a report from FOX 5 Atlanta and officers want the 38-year-old on suspicion in an open count of murder.
The reward for finding her sits at $16,000. That includes cash from local police and the U.S. Marshals.
Body Found Under Concrete
This all started back on May 24, 2026. Family members reported 43-year-old Jason Christopher Coulthart missing after he was last seen in Niceville, Florida.
One month later, police found his body. It was buried in a shallow grave on a property off Sunset Lane in Freeport.
The burial site was not subtle. Investigators say someone poured concrete over the grave and parked a black Cadillac right on top of it.
Deputies found a large zip tie around Coulthart’s neck. A full autopsy couldn’t pinpoint the exact cause of death right away, but the evidence was enough to bring murder charges against Johnson.
Why would this happen? A witness told police that allegedly Johnson simply wanted to get rid of Coulthart because he was “aggravating and irritating her.”
Helpers Behind Bars
Police haven’t caught Johnson yet, but they’ve already arrested five other people.
According to reporting by People, deputies charged Bobbi Wagstaff, Martin Leaverton, Sandra Leaverton, Michael Ray White, and Kathleen Morris with accessory after the fact to murder.
A spokesperson for the Walton County Sheriff’s Office explained why on ABC News, stating that helpers face charges “because they provided some support to her, but also with obstruction of justice because they lied to us.”
Video and Family Appeals
Deputies released surveillance footage showing Johnson appearing frazzled at a Florida business the day after police found the body. In the clip, she wanders up and mutters, “I’m just trying to get back to my house.”
Police hope the audio helps people recognize her voice, since she likely changed her look.
Coulthart’s cousin spoke directly to Good Morning America on to plead for answers.
“He was one of my best friends,” the cousin shared. “I want her to face justice. I want her to have to look his son in the eyes.”
How to Spot Her
Officers describe Johnson as a “master manipulator.” She moves fast. She cuts and dyes her hair, and she relies on fake names to get rides and cash.
She might go by “Harley,” “Jessica Elaine Bowman,” “Jessica Dowdy,” or “Denise.”
Police released the following description: She stands 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 120 pounds, and has hazel eyes. Look for a flower tattoo on her left hand near her thumb, plus another tattoo on her right ankle.
Where She Might Hide
Where is she now? Detectives think she could be hiding in northern Georgia, lower Alabama, or the Florida Panhandle. They single out Habersham County, Georgia, as a key spot.
Police consider her armed and dangerous. Don’t go near her. If you spot her, call 911 or tip off Crime Stoppers at (850) 863-TIPS.
